I was glad to be in Walker County today with EPA Regional Director Kevin McOmber and so many local officials to announce $6 million in Brownfields Program cleanup funding for five communities across Northwest Georgia. Since taking office, I’ve worked closely with municipalities across Georgia’s 14th District to support efforts to revitalize our communities and promote economic growth. I am thrilled to join EPA and our local leaders in announcing $6 million in federal brownfields funding that will help clean up contaminated properties, prepare them for redevelopment, and return them to productive use for the communities they serve. I will fight to bring federal cleanup and infrastructure funding home each and every day. Today, my @HouseSmallBiz colleagues and I passed nine bills out of committee to help American small businesses continue to grow and thrive.   Including two bills I helped @RepTonyWied introduce. The Restoring American Manufacturing Act, which codifies the SBA’s Make Onshoring Great Again Portal, connecting small businesses who seek to onshore their operations with verified U.S. manufacturers, producers, and suppliers. And the Cybersecurity for Small Businesses Act, which requires the SBA to work with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to provide small businesses with cybersecurity best practices.
