I’m proud to introduce the bipartisan Beagle Liberation Act of 2026, which will help healthy, adoptable dogs and cats retired from research find loving homes instead of facing unnecessary euthanasia. Great news! The House has passed my AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act with strong bipartisan support! AM radio remains an important lifeline for millions of Americans - especially during hurricanes, severe weather, and other emergencies when access to reliable information can be critical. It also connects communities with local news, sports, agriculture updates, and public safety information. I’m proud to have worked across the aisle to protect this vital service and ensure Americans can continue accessing AM radio in new vehicles without an additional fee. On Tackle Kids with Cancer Day, I’m proud to be leading bipartisan legislation to permanently protect the Rare Pediatric Disease Priority Review Voucher Program - an important tool for encouraging continued investment in treatments and cures for children battling rare and life-threatening diseases. No child or family should have to hear that there are too few treatment options simply because a disease is rare. By providing long-term certainty for this successful program, we can encourage researchers and innovators to keep pursuing breakthroughs for some of our most vulnerable patients. Twenty-five years ago, our nation was forever changed. On September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 innocent lives were taken in an unspeakable act of terrorism. Today, we remember each of them. We honor the heroic first responders who ran toward danger, the ordinary Americans who performed extraordinary acts of courage, and the brave men and women who answered our nation’s call to serve in the years that followed. A quarter-century has passed, but our obligation to remember has not. We must ensure that future generations understand not only the horror of that day, but also the remarkable courage, compassion, patriotism, and unity Americans showed in its aftermath.
