I recently heard from an #NJ07 constituent about her experience with a scam website impersonating her small business. Scams such as these often target seniors and are becoming more prevalent with the development of AI.
Last week, I spoke in support of the Strategic Task Force on Scam Prevention Act, which would create a task force to prevent scams and take action against them, helping individuals and small businesses.
I was pleased to vote in favor of the bill and see it pass through @HouseCommerce.

Yesterday, the Ratepayer Protection Act passed the House with overwhelming bipartisan support, 417-3. I was proud to support this legislation because hardworking Americans should not be forced to pay higher electric bills to power massive data centers.
Data centers should pay for the electricity they use, period.
It’s extremely frustrating that Senate Democrats are now blocking a bill that passed the House with such a strong display of bipartisanship. Apparently, lowering electric bills for their constituents isn’t a priority for Senate Democrats.
