This week, I had the opportunity to tour and survey the damage caused by the recent flooding in Hocking and Vinton County.   Seeing the impact firsthand and hearing directly from residents and local officials is an important part of understanding what our communities are facing. Our neighbors have been through a lot, and recovery will take time. I’m grateful for the first responders, local officials, volunteers, and everyone working around the clock to help their communities recover and rebuild. My office will continue working with local, state, and federal partners to make sure the needs of OH-02 communities are heard and that we do everything we can to help during the recovery. We are here, we are listening, and we will continue to stand with each of you.

I led my colleagues @Rep_Davidson @RepMaxMiller @Jim_Jordan @RepMichaelRulli in a letter to @GavinNewsom demanding answers for the death that occurred in Brown County at the hands of an illegal alien CDL driver who had been awarded a license by the state of California. This can’t continue.

Today, we honor the brave Americans who were prisoners of war and remember those who remain missing in action. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to our nation will never be forgotten. We owe a debt of gratitude to our POWs, MIAs, and their families who will never be the same. 🇺🇸

America’s veterans and citizens should not have to die to get their day in court. Today I introduced the Justice for Veterans and Victims of Terrorism Act to begin closing a loophole in our legal system that has denied Americans justice for too long. This bill brings victims one step closer to justice by directing a GAO study assessing the cost of how additional victims of state sponsored terrorism might be compensated for their injuries. I look forward to working with my colleagues in Congress to hold terrorists accountable and bring justice to those who are owed it!

Senate Democrats are voting against the very constituents they claim to represent. American families deserve to be shielded from rising data center energy costs. The Ratepayer Protection Act would have done just that. Republicans offered a solution, and Democrats swatted it down for pure politics. Shameful.

On Constitution Day, we remember why it was written: to protect liberty, limit the power of the government, and enshrine basic rights for the governed. As the radical left increasingly questions the wisdom of this document, we must remain unapologetic in defending its principles. In the words of President Ronald Reagan, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation.” Happy Constitution Day! 🇺🇸
