Too many Iowa families are facing a cancer diagnosis, and rural communities can’t afford to fall behind on early detection and treatment.
That’s why, as a physician, I fought to secure the Rural Health Transformation Program. Now, $15.9 million of Iowa’s first $209 million is going toward cancer screenings, radon prevention, telehealth, and early detection in rural Iowa.
Every Iowan deserves the best possible chance to catch cancer early and beat it.

A new chapter for DeWitt broke ground with the East Industrial Street Extension Project.
The $10.5 million investment will expand Crossroads Business Park by 149 acres, creating new opportunities for jobs, businesses, and long-term growth. I was proud to help secure $3.4 million in federal funding for the project.
It’s one part of more than $80 million in federal funding delivered to communities across Eastern Iowa since I came to Congress. 🇺🇸

One year later, Charlie Kirk is still deeply missed. A husband, a father, a son, and a friend was taken from the people who loved him most.

Toured Cessford Construction to see firsthand how they mine and process rock, limestone, and sand for infrastructure projects across Southeast Iowa.
Cessford has produced 400,000 tons of material this year for DOT roadways and major infrastructure projects across the state, from aggregates and crushed rock to asphalt production.

Toured the new safe room at Southeastern Community College, built to protect students and staff in an area prone to EF5 tornadoes, with 2-inch-thick windows tested to withstand extreme weather.
Outside of emergencies, it doubles as an everyday campus space for athletics, academics, and events like graduation. Great to see student safety built right into the design.
