But El-Sayed dodged answering his question.
Dashti says he wanted a clear condemnation, telling Will Cain: "Just say you're against the world's largest sponsor of terror."
"I think it has something to do with the fact that a lot of his supporters are very supportive of the IRGC. They love the Iranian regime and he doesn't want to alienate them."

A young Iranian-American student tells Abdul El-Sayed his family was tormented at the hands of the Iranian regime. He says his cousin was hunted by the IRGC and his uncle was sentenced to death and lashed, then asks him directly: Do you stand "unequivocally against the IRGC"?
El-Sayed does not directly condemn the IRGC by name. Instead, the Michigan Democratic Senate candidate warns against U.S.-led regime change and argues that anger toward foreign governments can be used to advance "corporate interests" tied to natural resources.
He later goes further, saying regime change can become "a ploy for the interests of our corporations."
"You still haven't said it, though," the student responds. "We're dying."

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian addresses mounting economic pressures, including skyrocketing inflation, a plunging riyal, and plummeting oil exports. Neria continued to serve in the reserves after losing his older brother, Moshe Yedidya Leiter, of blessed memory. Since October 7th, he has served hundreds of days in the reserves on multiple fronts.
