Excited to announce that I'm launching a new startup, @LilithSemi , together with Sebastian Kraus! 🚀
With Lilith Semi, we're building open-source tools for hardware development and security-critical infrastructure.
Our first release is Chock, a security-first harness for AI coding agents.
Since 2026, AI agents have become good at tasks beyond simple web development. As companies start dealing with real workflows, enterprises, especially in regulated industries, are becoming more conscious about how they handle sensitive data.
I've been dealing with supply chain security for a while, and one thing I've learned is how important it is to work with safe AI harnesses. When you're dealing with sensitive data, the risk simply isn't worth it.
That's why Chock sandboxes AI agents in a using standard sandboxing primitives.
We're currently working on micro-VMs as the next step.

And if you're at NixCon 2026 in Kraków, come find us and let's talk.

Vulcan, the codegen library in Zig, is getting a GPU module. Optimizations have been happening, multiple-add is now ~10% faster than NVIDIA ptxas-n. Memory latency is 1:1, matmul is ~10% slower but has been getting faster.

Reminds me of this photo I took of Carlsbad a few years back. I use it as my profile banner, I'm not sure where the original image is. But it was taken on an old Nikon from like 2010.
Yep, I have quite a few plugins and a CLAUDE.md that's system wide which makes Claude more bearable. I'm trying to integrate this into my own harness so its out of the box.
I thought it'd be less efficient because you're converting gas which is producing kinetic energy into electric energy. I have a hybrid and it's efficiency is very good, it gets more range than my mom's electric Subaru.

Him in the "Markiplier and friends" era from a decade ago was great. But ofc, this is a pretty good clip of him laughing.

It's wild just how much an Ampere CPU can handle. Like I had parrots spawning every second via a command block. I had things cranked up high, 32 threads for chunk loading. I put Distance Horizons to the max CPU threads and ran some Nix builds. Minecraft held at 30fps, sometimes it would drop to 28.
I like that with Harbor, I automatically get graphviz dot graph files for SoC's. This is the one generated for the Creek V1 SoC with RC1.s on an Arty S7. It's just a big enough River CPU and SoC that it should be capable of booting 64-bit mainline Linux.
