Thank you @SenJoshBecker @JoshBeckerSV for authoring the bill creating the Seal of Climate Literacy, & that has been signed into law by @GavinNewsom! "The Seal will encourage & reward students for studying climate science & engaging in research & hands-on projects that respond to & spread awareness of climate change." Senator Becker stated that “This Seal sends a clear message: climate literacy matters, and California students are ready to lead.” @lsanchez020 @EdSource sd13.senate.ca.gov/news/pres… edsource.org/updates/newsom-… #renewableenergy

Ryan, I watched your @RyanChandlerTV broadcast tonight on @NBCNightlyNews on the extreme weather in Texas. Can you also report on Texas A&M Prof. @AndrewDessler op-ed "Texas can’t hide from climate change by stopping students from learning about it" statesman.com/opinion/column… "Climate change amplifies these hazards. As a result, today’s students will spend their careers making decisions that would be aided by understanding climate change. Engineers will design infrastructure for a climate different from the one we have today. Farmers will manage crops, water and heat as temperatures and precipitation patterns shift. Communities will decide how to protect homes, roads and electricity systems from changing risks." @statesman #climatecrisis #renewableenergy

Democracy Docket has another strong month with more than 20,000 new subscribers. It is now over 800k.
👀 NEW: In Q3 2025, right-wing YouTuber Benny Johnson gained over 570,000 new subscribers. During the same period this year, he net just 10,000 new subs. Is the partisan YouTube boom finally cooling off? I take a look in this week's @readchaoticera

This is big. Medium size delivery trucks are perfect for Electric powertrains: tend to drive a daily route of 100 miles or less and can charge level two overnight and save a ton on fuel. Makes economic sense. Harbinger is a real leader in the space. CA based, USA built! insideevs.com/news/810423/fe…

Good news California! You can now install plug-in solar panels without permission from your utility. Your gas company is also required to offer you thousands of dollars to install electric appliances instead of replacing your gas line. Lots more here: climatecoloredgoggles.com/p/…

After the Trump administration cancelled dozens of grants to boost clean American manufacturing, they refused to tell us why. So, we took them to court and got hundreds of pages of documents about DOGE staffers, rushed decisions, and political appointees. You can read them here. on.nrdc.org/4hDGHcK

Do you find ever yourself driving by a gas station, looking at the price and thinking "I wish there was some way that I could come here to fill up more often?" If so, you'll love Trump's roll back of national fuel economy standards. apnews.com/article/trump-gas…

Gas prices are soaring nationwide, and families feel it every time they fill up. So what does the Trump administration do? It guts the fuel economy standards that help Americans burn less gas in the first place. That means more money out of your pocket at the pump for years to come. Congress created these standards in 1975, after an oil embargo showed how dangerous it is to depend on volatile foreign oil. Fifty years later, with Trump’s unauthorized war in Iran pushing prices higher, he’s forgetting that lesson entirely. Meanwhile, the rest of the world is moving fast. EV sales are surging globally, and China already has dramatically accelerated the production of electric cars and batteries. Every year we pull back is another year Chinese automakers pull further ahead and American workers fall further behind. I want American companies building the cars of the future, right here, with American workers and American innovation. Walking away from that race is a ridiculous self own, and our competitors couldn't be happier about it. This is patently stupid policy. We should be lowering costs for families and outcompeting China, and I'll keep fighting to do both. nytimes.com/2026/09/26/clima…

Republicans want people to use more gasoline, no matter what it costs them, so that fossil-fuel industry profits will rise. No, really. This is not a culture war. There’s a material reason why they’re making cars burn more gasoline. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
