@NWSBayArea is in effect for San Francisco on Tuesday Sept 23 from 11 AM–7 PM. Temps in mid to upper 80’s are possible in parts of SF. Take steps to stay safe in the heat:
sf.gov/heat
•Drink water and take breaks from the heat
•Open windows safely to prevent falls (use screens/guards, open from the top if possible, and always supervise children around open windows)
•Use fans to circulate air
•Check in with neighbors, especially older adults, people with disabilities, and those living alone.
•If your home is uncomfortably hot, consider visiting an air-conditioned space to cool off, such as libraries, shopping malls, community centers, or swimming pools. Visit
sf.gov/heat to find a list of some public spaces with air conditioning and their hours.
