SNES homebrews and romhacks, rediscovering old japanese Super Famicom games and translations.
Very likely to be one of the best #SNES games out there: Tactics Ogre, a medieval fantasy strategy-rpg that did everything right and achieved mindblowing results for its time. Total must play.

You are probably familiar with this because it simply allows to create colorful "Gameboy Games" for the SNES as real SNES ROMs via integration of pvsneslib into GB Studio.
Weird glitch in Dragon Quest II brought me into error land... not just that, apparently it moved me into Dragon Quest I ? Both games are on the same cartridge and rom.
When people ask me why I'm still so much into this "old console" & why I am putting so much time and effort into it, I tell them:
Without it I would be a man without dreams and I don't want to live like that.
Every new game is another dream come true.

I am also against those remakes, the originals are mostly unmatched and its often a lazy attempt to cash in on existing projects.
For example the original Tactics Ogre that I am playing right now looks 10x better than its blurry Switch remake.
Tactics Ogre for the #SNES was a mindblowing masterpiece. It is incredible they were able to pull that off on a 16bit console. I think it looks better than the Switch version which has weird blurry character sprites.
What a crime that we didn't get this game in the west back then
In #Xak you are asked to join forces with an enemy. You can agree, but after some text the game gives you a Game Over screen. Still nice, the player actually has the option to pick it. It is like a premature alternative ending. #snes#superfamicom#retrogames
