SNES homebrews and romhacks, rediscovering old japanese Super Famicom games and translations.
Took longer than I thought but Opus 5.5 did it in a few cycles, with some additional help from Muse.
Impossible Mission (the vintage Commodore 64 game) reimagined as 16-bit title and then ported to Super Nintendo (SNES).

Opus 5.5: reverse-engineer this Commodore 64 game (Impossible Mission) and create a @godotengine version of it that looks like a 16-bit console port.

Street Alpha 2 (SNES) MOD!
VS screen now syncs with music playback instead of a fixed frame timer.
Loading delay reduced. Added TURBO 3, increasing game logic speed to approximately 1.8x NORMAL. Faster round flow. Additional engine hooks, menu improvements, code cleanup..rewrite
Very likely to be one of the best #SNES games out there: Tactics Ogre, a medieval fantasy strategy-rpg that did everything right and achieved mindblowing results for its time. Total must play.

I prefer the left one but I am not fully sure why. I think the right trees look a bit to cute with their round shapes. The right gives my satirical comedy vibes. Left is more dangerous, more gritty.

You are probably familiar with this because it simply allows to create colorful "Gameboy Games" for the SNES as real SNES ROMs via integration of pvsneslib into GB Studio.
There haven't been any homebrew attempts at creating proper Beat Em Ups or classical 1 on 1 fighting games for the SNES - that would be refreshing.
Also there is no game like Crossed Swords (a neo geo game) for the SNES, only thing that comes close is Shiren the Blade Chaser.
