We are bringing the fight to the cartels through the Homeland Security Task Force. Today our office charged 10 defendants who operated an immense Philadelphia-based narcotics trafficking conspiracy sourced and supplied by a Mexican cartel to the tune of over 300 kilograms of cocaine. Led by Greg Jones and Edward Basley, two previous federal drug trafficking convicts who obtained early release from their sentences, this DTO streamed poison into our communities for years. No more. This is a triumph of the HSTF and representative of our ongoing success to disrupt and dismantle the narcotics networks of the cartels.
