Easy.
The weekly candlestick closes in about two days, so I wouldn't celebrate too early, BTC bulls.
If that candle closes ๐๐๐ข๐ฉ๐ the 50-week simple moving average, that would be a pretty significant technical development for the bullish case. ๐
What I find especially interesting is that BTC barely seemed bothered by the bearish narratives surrounding the CLARITY Act and rate hikes.
A lot of people on X and YouTube expected those developments to push the price ๐๐ข๐ช๐ก, not up. I was getting ready to buy the dip too. Oh well... ๐
One possibility is ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ง๐๐ข๐กโmany of the people who wanted to sell may have already sold. Retail interest also seems relatively subdued, so perhaps larger or longer-term buyers are absorbing the supply.
But those are just theories. Nobody really knows exactly why millions of market participants are buying and selling at any given moment.
If BTC isn't your thing, there are plenty of other areas worth researching: ๐๐, ๐ฝ๐๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐, ๐น๐ผ๐ป๐ด๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐๐, ๐ฏ๐ถ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ต, and more. Different opportunities come with very different levels of risk.
You can also take the more traditional route with diversified ETFs. Generally, greater potential returns come with greater uncertainty and volatility, while diversified investments tend to trade some upside potential for reduced concentration risk.
And then there's cash. Cash is useful for liquidity and emergencies, but over long periods inflation can gradually reduce its purchasing power. That's why I think it's worth asking:
More broadly, I think it's healthy to occasionally question the beliefs about money that we inherited growing up.
Maybe you were taught:
Or:
Or:
Those beliefs aren't necessarily right or wrong in every situation. The important question is whether you consciously examined themโor simply inherited them from family, culture, school, or society.
That's also one of the things I've personally found fascinating about psychedelic experiences. Psilocybin can temporarily alter patterns of brain connectivity and cognitive flexibility, and some people report that the experience allows them to examine deeply held beliefs from perspectives they hadn't considered before.
That doesn't mean psychedelics magically make someone financially smarter, nor are they appropriate or safe for everyone. But the broader lesson resonates with me:
Your beliefs about money, success, relationships, status, and even yourself don't have to remain unquestioned simply because you've carried them for decades.
And beyond all of that, some psychedelic experiences can produce an extraordinary subjective feeling of interconnectedness, ego dissolution, and unconditional love.
Whether you interpret that spiritually, psychologically, or neurologically is up to you.
