Lazy work used to mean too little output. Now, with AI, it often means too much and more work for everyone else. @tobi call it "slop grenades." A "Slop Grenade" is when you let AI produce the work and pass it on without adding any value (including checking it). Someone else has to wade through it, catch the mistakes, and clean up the mess. You save time and look productive but someone else pays for it.

This is such a recurring thing lately, even in non-technical contexts that we have a Messages/WhatsApp sticker for it.

It doesn’t work. Removing C2PA is trivial. You don’t need a skill for that. Command-line tools already exist. The real test is SynthID and other steganographic watermarks embedded in the image. Generate an image with ChatGPT, remove the visible watermark, run it through @SlopOrNotAI, and see what happens.
🧹watermarks-remover now supports watermarks from OpenAI and Gemini in addition to Claude. github.com/guillaumemeyer/wa…

It doesn’t work. SynthID is embedded in the image. You don’t need a skill to remove C2PA. There are CLI tools that do that. SynthID and other steganographic watermarks are what matter. Try generating an image with ChatGPT, remove the watermark, and use SlopOrNot to find out.

nothing against pangram, but you guys do realise you could just hook codex up to the pangram api and have it keep rewriting until the eval says it’s fully human, right?

We don’t make BS farcical claims about 99.98% accuracy. We just build the best AI generated text detector that also happens to run on your iPhone’s Neural Engine.

Left: the watermark GPT Image 2 embeds into every image it generates. Right: SynthID, the fingerprint Google bakes into every Nano Banana and Gemini image. Invisible to the human eye. Applied during generation, not added after. Designed to survive screenshots, crops, and compression. Most people using these tools daily have no idea their output is fingerprinted at the pixel level. Every major AI image generator now tags what it produces, and the tag travels with the image wherever it ends up. You can verify this yourself. Content Credentials Verify detects C2PA markers from OpenAI images. Gemini detects SynthID if you upload an image directly to it. The images will keep getting more realistic. The identification tech is keeping pace.

The hidden watermark used by @OpenAI’s GPT-Image-2 has been extracted. It appears to be this dense pattern, normally invisible to the human eye. This kind of watermark is typically used to identify AI-generated images later, even if there’s no visible label attached. Could it be related to the model’s infamous noise artifact issues? We don’t know yet, but I doubt it.

Did Apple hire an artist to make this under the assumption he wouldn't use AI? Signing your name to something with obvious low-craft AI artifacts is crazy business
