Trump reportedly tried to convince Zelensky to go to Moscow. He obviously knows nothing of the leaders of the free Poles after WWII who were convinced to go to Moscow, and who were then beaten, tortured, imprisoned and murdered. Which, of course, would also be Zelensky's fate.

Trump is a horrible deal-maker. Tony Schwartz wrote Trump’s book. If you look at Trump’s history, he really doesn’t make deals. He issues demands. Then he often seems to cheat the other party. Ask Rick Reilly. Iran is buried deep. They read him. They don’t want to give him an offramp.
