I did my part, Senator McDaniel did his part, and Mayor Fette did hers. When I served on Erlanger City Council in 2022, we voted to commit city money to the reconstruction of Stevenson from Alice Street to Jacqueline Drive. That local commitment, along with Kenton County’s share for sewer and water relocation and SD1 money for stormwater retention, is still written into the state plan. The General Assembly has done its job as well. In my first term the 2024 highway plan funded the Stevenson Road project at $30.63 million. When that timeline was not followed, we did not let the project die. The 2026 enacted highway plan keeps it funded at $34 million. That is twice Frankfort put real money on this road, on top of the local dollars Erlanger put up years ago. In August I met on this project. It was a productive meeting. KYTC had not yet updated the plans. I left that room expecting movement. Residents should not still be hearing “we’re in design.” What has not happened is construction. KYTC relayed to me they are committed to making the project happen. I am committed to doing whatever is necessary to see this project happen. My job is to keep the funding in the plan and hold the Cabinet to a schedule. The city showed up. The legislature showed up. It is time for KYTC to make Stevenson Road go. The money is there. Build it.

Parents expect schools to teach reading, writing, and math-not to indoctrinate their children with gender ideology. Protecting children and standing with parents on this has been a top priority throughout my time in the legislature.

It's time to stop playing games. We need to repeal Certificate of Need requirements in the upcoming session.

Our constitutional rights are constantly violated by a massive surveillance state in this country and flock cameras are the fuel. We can support public safety while defending our liberty. De-flock Kentucky!

Free advice for candidates. If you're running against an incumbent the dumbest thing you can do is attend the incumbents committee meetings. They are tied up working, you can watch later. Use the time to knock doors while they can't. Anything less is malpractice.

As we remeber those we lost on September 11th, it is vital that we honor and support our law enforcement and first responders who put their lives on the line daily to keep us safe.

I had a lot in common with Charlie Kirk. What I admired most was how he always had his young children around. That was not an accident. It was a statement about what matters. My singular focus in office is leaving this Commonwealth in a better position than we received it. That means putting our children’s futures first. We shared mutual friends and attended a few of the same events. I never took the opportunity to talk with him. I regret that. Today marks one year since Charlie was taken from his family and from this country. I hope we can move past political violence and choose debate over bloodshed. America lost a leader. His children lost their father. That is the loss I keep coming back to. May we honor his memory by protecting the next generation and by refusing to let violence replace argument.

A lot of Reds fans still underestimate what Jesse Winker meant to this franchise. 2021 All-Star. Two three-homer games in one season. That year he was one of the best hitters in the National League. They even modeled the hat displays after him.

Its still insane to me that Pete Rose isn't in the Hall of Fame, but this hangs in Great American Ball Park.
