Where money is, corruption will follow.
Someone in senior management for one of the betting platforms contacted me recently with major concerns that people are colluding to drive down share values for likely winners of contested races.
Today’s NYT polling seems to corroborate that. Talarico, Peltola, and Hamilton shares will go way up today because people will follow polls and buy them. The share prices of the likely winners (Paxton, Sullivan, and Marshall) will plummet and therefore be worth much more if and when they win.
No longer just a theory - it is being investigated, and it should explain why polling has never been worse. Crooks do what crooks do.
