Z was a major Catholic political party in Germany from its founding in 1870 until its dissolution in 1933. It was re-founded after World War II but has remained a small, marginal party focused mainly on local politics.

The United States Department of Justice has sued California after federal investigators said they identified more than 20,000 registered voters they believe are likely noncitizens.
That allegation still has to be proven in court.
But California can no longer dismiss the underlying verification question as hypothetical.
