I'm legitimately going to just keep using my Coldcard at this point. And that's as much of an indictment of literally everything else as much as it is a statement about the Coldcard. Everything else in this space is such a shitshow.

Forward looking, for Bitcoin self-custody, Multi-Vendor Multi-DeviceType Multi-Sig is the only way. Collaborative custody if needed. I'm a big fan of @nunchuk_io. It has mobile and desktop apps. What I love about it is that it easily visually forces you to understand the difference between a Key and a Wallet, which is a great UX. Best of all it's free and also it's non KYC. You can for example make a 4 of 7 wallet with it using @TAPSIGNER, @Trezor, Jade, Passport, even with a firmware upgraded ColdCard. I love Tapsigners cause they are very easy to use and teach to beginners and can be easy for your family for inheritance purpose if used wisely in multisig with timelocks. I also just discovered @BitcoinKeeper_, which looks even better than Nunchuck for free, with easy features like Wallet TimeLock, Emergency Key, Inheritance Key. Will make a video about this soon for anyone interested!

Okay the Tapsigner from @Coinkite really should be marketed as the most wife-friendly cold storage solution. Teaches decent private key practices while giving her incentive to learn (no questions asked fun-money) She’s already a pro at @PhoenixWallet and @theBTCco so she only needs to learn @nunchuk_io with @TAPSIGNER to have a usable chunk of bitcoin, ready to send sats to her Lightning wallet whenever she chooses ⚡️🤘

🔥 Do @TAPSIGNER too while you're working with the Coinkite suite — it's a really convenient way to keep keys cold, even if you later blind sign. It's a good compromise between cold and hot signing.
