Ireland is set to increase its state pension by €10 a week, taking annual payments to the equivalent of £13,654.98 🇮🇪 The SNP say the move is a 'wake-up call' and shows what's possible when independent countries have full control over their own finances and welfare system 👇 thenational.scot/news/266169…

Michael Marra's strategy is to repeatedly offer to 'work together' on anything and everything. He has no actual plans or policies. He just wants to 'work together'.

Never forget the English mayor said this about the Ukraine but it doesn't apply to Scotland apparently:

Amazing how many North Britons are in permanent denial. They desperately want to hold on to something of their latent Scottish identity but will always place the priorities of the Anglo British state before those of Scotland. Their Britishness always comes first.
When English nonentities like this pronounce on the future of my nation I am scunnered for me and my people. If you live in Scotland and think this is normal and acceptable, then I’m afraid you’re a colonised, provincial North Briton, not a Scot.

This is what the No vote in 2014 has done to Scotland - powerless, dependent upon Westminster decisions, and out of Europe on English votes. The English government's refusal to recognise Scots votes for the right to self determination is an outrage. It won't hold.
This is what Brexit has done to Britain. Luise Valentiner arrived in Scotland through Erasmus and made it her home for 32 years. She built a business, paid taxes and became part of her community. Before Brexit, 85% of her sales went to EU customers. Then came customs charges, returned parcels and regulations too costly for a sole trader to navigate. After three decades here, she was also forced repeatedly to prove her right to return to her own home. Add growing xenophobia and the rise of Reform, and she and her husband have finally had enough. They are leaving Scotland for Denmark. Luise has not fallen out of love with Scotland. Brexit has made living and belonging here economically, practically and emotionally exhausting. Britain is losing businesses, skills, friendships and people who enriched this country for decades. Brexit is national self-harm.

The main issue with BBC Scotland is that it isn't real. It's akin to a video game, and like all video games the characters have no autonomy. They act within strict boundaries. The world projected by these characters is fictional. This is why BBC Scotland projects a caricature of Scotland. Reporters and presenters are essentially coded characters. Everything they say is strictly controlled. If this then say that ... If not this then delete. The station isn't a national broadcaster. It's a make believe construct coded in London. It's a video game and nobody inside the game can change it.

The Tories say they will take powers away from the Scottish Parliament if they win the next general election; this is a party that was crushed in the Scottish elections and has been rejected by the people of Scotland for 71 years, yet again treating Scotland with contempt.

So the leader of the party in 5th place in Scotland, who haven't won for over 70 years, wants to strip powers from a progressive government that puts things in place for the people not the rich!

This Hospice Care Week, I’m supporting calls for better funding for hospices across Scotland. We must get end-of-life care right and the Scottish Government need to stop relying on charities to fill the gaps with patchwork funding.

You are sure as hell not standing up for Scotland. Your Tories are standing up for England, masquerading as the UK.
Kemi's right 👏 The Conservatives are the only party proudly standing up for our United Kingdom 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧

I think it’s great that you’re looking to drive forward business in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, but it’s the U.K. policies actively harming this business far more than Scottish govts. It’s rather disingenuous calling out one without the other 🤷🏼‍♀️

Energy costs gone up by 300% but lets attack the ScotGov over rates instead of Westminster especially whenever Labour blocked zonal pricing for Scotland which would have meant the cheapest energy costs in UK.
