Agentic AI is everywhere in ad tech right now. But almost nobody can tell you what it was trained on. That's the gap between automating a decision and making an intelligent one, and it's what our Senior Director of Programmatic, Tom Discepola, will be discussing during his session at @adexchanger's Programmatic I/O next week. You'll learn how to tell real AI from automation, what AI models actually need to get smarter over time, and why programmatic alone isn't enough to train AI that understands TV. Recent headlines claim CTV buyers are finally getting show-level optimization. Publishers tell us a different story. Tatari's Senior Director of Programmatic, Tom Discepola, asked some of the largest publishers what they can actually deliver. Show-level reporting is increasingly available, usually as a ranked list of top programs. But you still can't target individual shows in a private marketplace deal, and none of the major exchanges we spoke with offer show-level optimization as a standard product. Knowing where your ad ran is not the same as being able to buy against it. Check out the full breakdown on @adexchanger, including the five questions to ask any partner pitching this: adexchanger.com/on-tv-and-vi…

Meta gets pricier, growth flattens, and TV looks like a bet only big budgets can afford. But @meetfatty15 proved otherwise. We're unpacking how at @CommerceRound this Monday. They capped TV spend until the channel earned more, and it did: concentrated dollars on the networks and dayparts driving response, a sharper KPI than blended CPA, and Amazon-level measurement tying TV to real sales. The halo on Meta did the rest. Eric Venn-Watson (Co-Founder, COO, Fatty15) and Mauricio Lizarazu (Senior Team Lead, Client Development, Tatari) take the stage to break it down.

Website visits get written off as a vanity metric all the time. They look good on a spreadsheet, but don't always prove anything. The real answers reside in purchase data. So we tested that assumption at scale. We analyzed 127 million site visitors and 5.1 million purchasers across 300+ TV advertisers, comparing their household profiles on 173 attributes. The visitors and the purchasers looked almost identical. Which means those site visits you're dismissing? They're already telling you who's going to buy. You just have to know how to read it. Full breakdown of the data, where visitors and purchasers diverge, and what it means for how you should be reading upper-funnel KPIs: tatari.tv/insights/upper-fun…

Your buyers are getting answers without ever clicking through. So how do you build demand when there's no click to earn? That's what we're tackling at @HubSpot's @unboundevent this Wednesday. AI-powered search is changing how brands get discovered, and the old playbook (rank, earn the click, convert) is losing ground. The marketers who win will build demand before a search or AI prompt ever happens, and measure what's working beyond the click. Tatari CRO Andy Schonfeld joins Tori Murray (Head of Paid Growth, @gowithquo) and Zaw Lin Hteik (Head of Growth Acquisition, @otter_ai) on the Innovation Stage to break down what that looks like in practice, with real data and customer examples. Add it to your schedule: unbound.hubspot.com/sessions…

It comes down to how you build the funnel, allocate spend, and measure impact before the biggest shopping days arrive. Everyone agrees @YouTube is TV. Almost no one buys it that way. For brands, that creates a real gap. YouTube is often separated from the TV plan, judged on a single KPI, and left to algorithms to decide what inventory makes sense. There’s a better way to approach it: buy premium channels and programming directly, plan YouTube alongside linear and CTV, measure the full funnel, and account for the same seasonal moments as the rest of your TV strategy. In her latest article for @TVREV, Dana Delle, Tatari’s Senior Team Lead, Strategy and Brand Partnerships, breaks down why the way you buy YouTube needs to catch up with the way audiences watch it. Getting your brand into the NFL doesn't have to feel like a Hail Mary. Most brands don't start with a Super Bowl spot. They start with a programmatic test, prove the response, then scale into streaming, regional buys, and eventually the tentpole moments where fans are most locked in. Swipe through the playbook, then read the full 2026 NFL Advertising Playbook: tatari.tv/guides/advertiser-…

Social is capturing more ad dollars than TV. But that doesn’t mean it’s driving more incremental value. The difference comes down to measurement. Social platforms have built powerful attribution systems that make performance easy to report. TV has often lacked the same level of independent, cross-platform measurement, creating an uneven playing field for media dollars. Tatari is helping close that gap by measuring TV’s incremental impact across a fragmented ecosystem, so advertisers can understand what their TV investment actually drives, not just what a platform takes credit for. In her latest article for @adexchanger, Vicky Chang, Tatari's VP of Media, breaks down why measurement confidence is shaping media allocation, and why advertisers need a better way to compare channels. Great conversations, fresh-pressed juice, and blind boxes filled with products from brands we love. Not a bad day at GROW NY. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Tatari booth to talk TV with us. We loved digging into how brands are getting the most out of TV today, from combining linear and streaming to measuring what's actually driving results. Shoutout to the brands featured in our blind boxes: BÉIS, Liquid I.V., Fabletics, Tecovas, MANSCAPED, Gorjana, Ridge, Jolie, and Savage x Fenty. Until next time, New York!

Backbone Media didn't set out to build a TV practice. But when a client needed to reach rural consumers digital couldn't, testing TV revealed an opportunity to do a whole lot more. By keeping strategy, audience research, and the client relationship in-house, while using Tatari to handle the operational lift, Backbone turned one campaign into a repeatable TV offering across its book of outdoor and lifestyle brands. For agencies that don't offer TV today, here's the takeaway: you don't have to build everything at once. Start with the right client need, prove the channel, and build from there. They'll share the strategies behind their TV playbooks, including how they approach performance and brand campaigns across CTV, linear, and online video. Let's all go to the movies... 🎵 Cinema advertising puts brands in front of moviegoers at a rare moment: no scrolling, no second screen, and no mute button. A :15 or :30 spot can earn 84% ad attention and 72% ad recall. But attention is only part of the story. Moviegoers are also active consumers. They make 93% more QSR transactions and 2.1x more specialty retail purchases than the average U.S. consumer. Tatari works directly with the two companies that own cinema ad inventory to place advertising in premium theaters in the coveted slots right before the feature begins. So, what happens when you put a high-attention audience in front of an ad they're actually watching? You might just have a blockbuster campaign. 🍿 Read more: tatari.tv/insights/lights-ca…

At Tatari, AI isn’t a buzzword we plaster on our website. It’s built on 10+ years of TV performance data. Our AI Planning Engine uses that foundation to analyze audience data, performance history, and current market conditions, evaluating the TV landscape to recommend the networks, dayparts, and budget allocations most likely to hit a brand’s specific KPIs. Why does the data matter? Because an AI model is only as useful as the information behind it. Tatari’s Foundational TV Dataset includes 300 TB of response data, 1.4 trillion linear impressions, 54 billion streaming impressions, and $9B in managed spend across 1,600+ TV networks. The result is faster planning, more possibilities evaluated, and more time for marketers to focus on strategy. We break down how it works in our latest blog 👇 Read more: tatari.tv/insights/how-tatar…

Tatari is now live in @AppsFlyer as both an Ad Network partner and a Signal Hub partner. A dual role that no other CTV platform holds today. Why does that matter for mobile app marketers? Nearly every TV platform connects to AppsFlyer as an Ad Network partner only. AppsFlyer handles the attribution using a model built for digital, which means programmatic streaming gets measured, but linear TV and direct streaming buys never enter the picture. And that's typically the bulk of TV media. This integration gives you options: 📊 Keep AppsFlyer as your primary measurement source, with Tatari's TV data flowing into your dashboard 📺 Use Tatari's TV-grade measurement across all of your TV, supplemented by AppsFlyer data 🔎 Or run both and compare However you prefer to measure, you finally get the full picture of what your TV spend is doing.
