If obedience is the gospel, then the gospel becomes about what I do instead of what Christ has done.
The gospel is the good news that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again for our justification.
Thatâs a proclamation to believe, not a command to perform. The gospel isnât about us, itâs about Jesus. The gospel is FOR us.
Obedience is the fruit of the gospel, not the gospel itself. We obey because weâve been saved, not in order to be saved. Confusing the two turns good news into law

You donât keep the commandments, and you havenât kept the law.I know this for a fact. No man is justified by law keeping, due to the weakness & sinful nature of the flesh. The law can only expose our sin and the need for a Savior, thatâs why God sent His Son to be the propitiation

Man cannot save himself,no matter how hard we try! This is why Christ kept the entire law and His commandments, lived a perfect sinless life, fulfilled all that was pertaining to Him in the scriptures, and offered himself as the ultimate sacrifice & atonement for the sin of the world

Always resorting to a strawman argument.
Telling people that God wants them to repent and obey His commandments
Is NOT telling them they have to earn, or even can earn, their salvation.

Will you look at that, now imagine when someone tells you that they are saved by simply believing the gospel of Jesus Christ, yet you assume that weâre saying to disobey,
Do you see the hypocrisy now?

Weâre justified by faith in Christ(Gal 2:16).Faith comes from hearing the message about Christ (Rom 10:17),the message is the good news, which is 1 Cor 15:1-4. This is confirmed in Ephesians 1:13-14 and Titus 3:5. Faith produces obedience. Good works is the fruit of our salvation.

You both condemn anyone who simply calls for people to obey God.
I literally quoted Jesus and got lied about.
Anyone who says obey God, you respond with you dont have to, or you can't earn your salvation.
Both lies about what was said.
