BREAKING: Rep. Robert Garcia takes aim at Jared Kushner's jaw-dropping corruption and DEMANDS information on his deeply shady Israeli military investments.
This is the first step. Next come subpoenas...
"Oversight Democrats are investigating the unprecedented and dangerous ways in which President Trump and his family have profited directly from their access to power," Garcia wrote in a letter to Kushner’s investment firm, Affinity Partners. "Public reporting has revealed that while you have been acting as a key envoy in the Middle East, including a purported attempt to negotiate a ceasefire to end the conflict in Gaza, your firm, Affinity Partners, is the largest shareholder in an Israeli company with more than $456 million invested in nine companies that supply Israel’s military, including its largest arms manufacturer."
In a saner political climate, this kind of absurd, blatant conflict of interest would result not only in Kushner being stripped of his powers as envoy, but likely criminal prosecution. He has taken the vast powers of the U.S. government and used them for personal enrichment. How can he be trusted to work towards peace in Gaza when he's raking in massive profits from the weapons and military tech being used to slaughter innocent Palestinians en masse? The higher the blood tide rises, the more his bank account swells.
This is the same Jared Kushner whose father used to host noted war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu overnight at their house in New Jersey. On at least one occasion, the man who would go on to become Israel's most bloodthirsty Prime Minister actually slept in Jared's bedroom. But he wants us to believe that he is behaving as a neutral arbiter in this conflict.
"Your dual role as your father-in-law’s Middle East and Gaza negotiator while investing in a company that makes profits investing in arms manufacturing presents significant conflicts of interest, all while you avoid disclosing your financial entanglements to Congress or the American people," Garcia continued.
"Since you continue to conduct foreign policy on behalf of the Trump Administration while having raised billions of dollars in capital provided to Affinity Partners by Gulf monarchies, I request detailed information about your business dealings in the Middle East to understand whether your significant financial gains have come at the cost of Americans’ safety and security," he added.
Garcia went on to outline some of the profits that Affinity has made in the Middle East, most notably through its investments in Phoenix Financial, a Tel Aviv-based company that has over $456 million invested in nine companies tied to Israel's military.
"Despite your denial of improper behavior, the fact remains that you have been allowed to hold a position of enormous power and responsibility, exempt from financial disclosure requirements and outside oversight," wrote the congressman. "Without oversight, the American people will continue to have serious questions about your motives and decision-making for as long as you profit from extensive business dealings in a region where you have been empowered by the President, your father-in-law, to influence national security policy at the highest level."
"The foreseeable and catastrophic failure of President Trump's Middle East policy, including the disastrous Iran war, only deepens doubts about whether this Administration is acting in the public's interest," he went on. "American diplomats and public servants must serve the interests of the American people, not their own bottom line."
Garcia concluded by demanding specific information on "all" of Affinity Partners’ investments in Gaza, Israel, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and "other Middle Eastern jurisdictions" that were "materially affected by, or were expected to benefit from any U.S. government approval, license, authorization, waiver, sanction determination, diplomatic support, security arrangement, financing support, non-objection, or other official action."
He also asked for exhaustive transaction records, a list of all investments connected to the Israeli military, a full write-up of Kushner's visits to Israel and Gaza since January 20, 2025 and the meetings he took while there, as well as a full public disclosure of his financial holdings.
Of course, we should expect Affinity to ignore or outright reject this letter, but that's okay. By laying the groundwork now, Garcia is preparing for the Oversight Committee to launch a full investigation, complete with subpoenas, once Democrats retake Congress after the midterms.
Tick tock Jared.
