This is exactly my point. As a Christian, when Talarico said God is masculine, feminine, and everything in between—so therefore non-binary—there’s no need for an exclamation point. That tracks with God transcending human categories. He just tried to use it as a gotcha to defend transgender kids in sports back when the hype was peaking, even though that’s under 1% of the population. Now that people are stepping back and realizing it’s not the nation’s big problem, the comment is coming back to haunt him. Appreciate the reminder of the common ground.
