This is four hours of forceful, violent kidnapping of Ukrainian men by military officers.
It’s time to talk about the brutal reality facing men in Ukraine right now. I want to dispell any myths about this being a rare occurence there. Men are afraid to go out and do basic errands like buying food. Heaven forbid they go to the farmacy. If you are a man aged 25-60 and your TCK military papers aren't updated, you are legally BLOCKED from getting planned, elective surgeries—even if you pay with your own money at a private clinic. 🧵👇
1/2 Let’s be clear: hospitals can’t deny you emergency, life-saving care. If you're dying, they have to operate. But if you have a painful chronic condition that will become an emergency later, you are turned away. The state is weaponizing healthcare to force mobilization.
2/2 Think about the hypocrisy. Women face zero medical blocks and can leave the country. But an 18-year-old boy who can't even be legally drafted is trapped at the border, and a grown man is denied a scheduled operation. Our "modern equality" vanishes the second a state treats human beings as wartime property. This is a systemic penalty for being male, plain and simple
