We practice how we practice to get results IN GAME! You may need to in practice focus on hitting the ball lower or higher to get what you want in game. Totally normal and should be encouraged. 💯

THE ISSUE: Hitter was working his barrel down one line of the box. Stayed inside the ball too long. Rollovers and cut balls.
THE ADJUSTMENT: Keep the barrel working down the hallway. Width, not just length.
Get it in early. Keep it there late.
Mechanics don’t influence the ability to compress a baseball? Or are you just very literal in our thought process? I’ll rephrase: his mechanics weren’t allowing him to square the baseball up, so in return he was over spinning the ball.
CREATE THE STRETCH TO RELEASE IT.
Too many hitters let the lower half outrun the upper body. The gap gets too big and they have to bail to the front side just to save the swing.
The feel: turn the upper body first. Close the gap. Then release it.
COMPRESS THE BALL. DON'T SPIN IT.
It's not always the swing—sometimes it's just a bad pitch. Don't fall into "swing mode" during BP or machine work. Hold yourself accountable and wait for the right pitches to drive! ⚾🔥
🧘♂️ Hitting is yoga with a weapon—it’s all about the flow!
Don't get stuck trying to preset everything and killing your movement. Avoid the stop-and-go; keep moving through your load and let it flow. ⚾️🔥

Most hitters change their approach with velocity. That’s the problem. I stayed right center no matter what. 80 or 100 didn’t matter, I just adjusted my contact point. Harder, out front. Same approach, small adjustments.
