Oh look, Tina’s back on the abortion scare train for the 2026 rematch. Classic.
“Oregon Right to Life would ban abortion in all situations.” Cute line. Their actual position is pretty clear, they oppose elective abortion at any stage, while recognizing the rare cases where treating a life threatening condition for the mother may result in the unintended loss of the baby. That’s not “ban in all situations.” That’s basic pro life consistency. But nuance doesn’t fit the fundraising email, does it?
Meanwhile, under the laws you championed and keep expanding, abortion is already maximally protected by Oregon law, legal through all nine months, for any reason, taxpayer funded, no parental consent required for most minors, no waiting periods, and codified as a “fundamental right.” We’re one of the most extreme states in the country on this. And somehow that is the “protect reproductive rights” side while anyone who thinks a viable baby might deserve some protection is the radical?
You signed bills to backfill Planned Parenthood after Trump’s funding cuts. Cool flex. Oregonians are watching the rest of the scoreboard too homelessness, addiction, education collapse, business flight, and the general feeling that the state is managed by people who care more about national talking points than fixing the actual problems people live with every day.
This November the choice is clear. One side treats unlimited late term abortion already locked in by Oregon law as the highest moral good and uses it as a shield for everything else. The other side thinks human life has value even when it’s inconvenient, and that Oregon can do better than endless crisis and virtue signaling.
Run on the record, Governor. Not the bogeyman. 🇺🇸 🐺
