18+ or go away. Just go away in general actually, no matter your age.

"Smol kobold, heavy problem (part 2)" ----- Poor little kobold, now you are under the heavy hyena's paw. You cannot run away, all you can do is grunt and take all the weight of your huge buddy, spread on you with their huge, soft paw pads. Feel the weight. Get crushed. Enjoy. ----- Part 3, animation with kobold jammed between two paws + alternative images where he really enjoys it, available on Paw-3-on.

Twitter at all is the wrong way to see or learn anything about what going to a furcon is like.

I too love the future where everything is hidden unless I hand over my ID and let it scan my face.

Yee, dålig gämförelse.. BC7 eller ASTC är standard. RGBA8 utan mipmaps låter helt galet xD

To push the average into a better place. Make the people with poor avatars feel the pain instead of those who cant afford high end computers. To get avatar creators to care about performance.

At the start, yes, but it in the long run it pushes players and avatar makers to create and use more optimized things to begin with. Right now nobody cares, so everyone's impostors. With pressure like this to optimize, people will, and there will be less impostors.

I would prefer a world where people optimize their avatars and I don't have to turn them all into impostors to get 30 fps >.>

What really surprises me is that there is no Lodding for avatars. Not having LODs is like the geometry equivalent of turning off mipmaps. xD Like, 70k is an absurdly high polycount if you are far away. But close up it’s fine. I’m really curious why

Maybe I’m just too deep in world dev, I don’t do avatar stuff much. Tons of previous experience with stock unity makes stuff like cyantrigger feel very silly. Since you can pretty much treat U# like C#.

VRChat exposes most(?) of the unity API, all of ShaderLab, and barely limits the built in unity features. Pretty much any game you can create in unity, you can create in VRChat. I’m really not sure what more you could ask for. It’s total freedom. (in world building)

And so, misinformation that has been false since 2007 lives on. If-statements in shaders have been pretty much fine since DX10. See: Crysis with raymarched clouds and other effects that require loads of branching.

I made a tool that bakes NormalizedCrow's FeathersAndFur Shader into the main mesh. torvid.net/featherbake This makes it work in fallback, with other shaders like poiyomi, improves performance, and lets you export to external software like Blender!

I feel like such a massive sucker for initially thinking age verification in VRC would ok, because it was optional. Didn't see of course, that as soon as it's prevalent enough, individual events would enforce it. Anyone not willing to give up their privacy is excluded.
