Also, a short history on browser update frequency:
• 2001: MSFT shipped IE6 & didn't release a major update for 5+ YEARS! Safari updated ~annually
• 2010: Chrome commits to 6-week releases & automatic updates. (People called us crazy.)
• 2021: Chrome updates to 4-week releases. (People said it was too fast.)
• 2026: Chrome goes to 2-week releases. (Opinions TBD :)
Release early, release often for fresher features and faster fixes... especially important with AI vuln discovery! 💪

Design Engineering Tip
Make hover interactions respond to where the cursor actually comes from.
Instead of revealing content with the same animation every time, detect the cursor entry direction and move the image + content accordingly. It makes a simple card feel much more spatial and responsive.

We're rolling out a small tweak to boost visibility of your posts to your mutuals (people who you follow back).
We noticed this data was missing from the algo and it made your friends appear less in your replies. This resulted in the reply section feeling more like a battleground with people you don't recognize.
This should also help clusters form around interests more easily, which many people have asked for.

Hi! I'm working on a new HTML feature: filterable select
There are two proposed API shapes so far:
1. Nesting <input> in <select>
2. Sibling <input> for listbox <select> w/id ref
Option 1 is more ergonomic, but would break selects in older browsers
Thoughts?

Does anyone @Shopify know why you can't sell things in fractions (i.e. 0.5, 0.25)?
Seems like a basic platform feature but apparently the only way to do this is via paid apps that are expensive and don't work well.
The fabric/sewing community is very upset about this. WHY is this an issue?
