The attacks on our Scottish democracy are starting to get serious and it will get worse in the run up to the next Westminster election. Eroding the powers of our Parliament is now a live issue. thenational.scot/news/266141…

For those concerned about their jobs at BBC Scotland and wondering why Scots are refusing to pay the licence, then maybe one of the reasons is this juvenile behaviour. The BBC doesn't have to promote extreme BritNat headlines like this. But it does. Continually. Think about that when you're handed your P45.

Why did Glenn Campbell challenge John Swinney on the Greens Zionist vote but not the leaders of the other parties? It's as though he was looking for an SNPBad angle.

One of the worst aspects of the BBC Scotland coverage of the child poverty report is the attempt to dupe the public using deliberately misleading language. The phrase "growing gap" invites people to believe child poverty is growing. It isn't. They know what they're doing here.

No coverage or serious analysis on BBC Scotland of the Tory threat to impose new nuclear power stations on Scotland. Badenoch has also signalled she wants to rewrite the Scotland Act to allow her to interfere in the role of the Lord Advocate. Nothing on that either. BBC Scotland serves no identifiable positive purpose in Scotland. Full of shallow chuckle-head magazine presenters incapable of serious examination of anything. If they're not reading auto-cues they're reading text messages.

Letting Andrew sue the police while living in luxury on the Sandringham estate, completely destroys Charles' claim that he supports the justice system.

So why aren’t Labour doing anything about it then? Public ownership of Thames Water now, not a penny in compensation. Vote Green in Holborn and St Pancras on Thursday to get Labour to finally act.
Kemi Badenoch thinks “privatisation was a success". She's living in an alternate reality. Water is a symbol of what has gone wrong in Britain. In the years since privatisation our waterways have been pumped with sewage whilst water bosses receive bonus after bonus. Labour is putting an end to this with a strengthened Water Bill which will repeal Margaret Thatcher’s ideological ban on public ownership of water companies. And we’ll also give Mayors new powers to hold water companies to account, and close the loopholes water companies use to pay excessive bonuses.

Charles won't, because he knows if Andrew is prosecuted, it'll mean he's next. The royals don't want to be held to account. #AbolishTheMonarchy
Should the King tell Andrew to drop his legal action? Charles has told his brother that he can't use the allowance he provides him to pay his legal fees. Should he go a step further and stop this legal challenge against the police? Or is Andrew within his rights?

The BBC is dying on its feet. More job cuts are expected next year, with BBC Scotland [The digital channel] going online only. A faster than predicted rise in the number of people not paying the TV licence means it's low on cash. It's demise can't come soon enough. archive.is/9V0oT

I actually can't believe it. The Labour Party is briefing smears about me, AGAIN, because of my factually accurate, public interest reporting - this time about their candidate in Holborn & St Pancras, Sagal Abdi-Wali. AGAIN, the Labour Party is going after a journalist living in Camden, because I've reported on Camden Council's terrible record on housing and their increasing investments in companies supplying weapons to Israel like Elbit, Lockheed Martin and Palantir. They're pushing a story implying factually accurate, rigorous reporting of Sagal Abdi-Wali is somehow illegitimate or sexist - two days before people cast their votes to choose the new MP for the constituency. I wrote some of those articles with Jessica Murray, who, in addition to being brilliant, just so happens to be a woman! It is risible, pathetic stuff from a Party and campaign that plainly can't answer straight questions about her record; and a Party whose deplorable recent history of embracing Islamophobia and anti-black racism I exposed in considerable detail in The Fraud. What makes it worse is that this is just six months after it was revealed that Labour Together, APCO and the Labour Party were part of scheme that made up the most disgusting defamatory lies about me, my family and colleagues, and which saw me reported to the security services. A despicable report containing these outright lies and fabrications was given to journalists and handled at the very highest levels of the Labour Party. That, too, was in response to my factually accurate, rigorous investigative journalism that exposed the sordid and unlawful origins of Sir Keir Starmer's disgraced leadership and the role of Labour Together. Now it seems the Labour Together project lives on in Sagal's campaign. I am keeping an open mind on Andy Burnham. I told Mark Steele on his wonderful podcast two weeks ago that I would "dedicate my life" to Burnham if he brought in electoral reform. But it seems the Labour Party machinery he has inherited is the same rotten machinery that was captured by Labour Together and gave us Sir Keir Starmer. Yesterday, I started asking Sagal to disclose who else was funding her election campaign, after it was revealed her campaign received £50k from Dale Vince, who funded Labour Together and backs new oil & gas drilling in the North Sea. Sagal has not answered. Today, I'm being smeared for asking straightforward questions about Abdi-Wali and her record - questions she has repeatedly failed to answer, despite multiple right of replies sent to her and her campaign. To me that shows the Labour Party is terrified that voters in Holborn & St Pancras might find out the truth about her record as a councillor and vote accordingly. And that seems like an invitation to publish a mega-thread setting out everything there is to know about Sagal and her record. That'll be dropping tomorrow.

Over 20 MPs and members of the Lords have this evening issued a letter in support of the Garvaghy Road residents. Including Jeremy Corbyn, John McDonnell, Diane Abbott, Zarah Sultana, and Seamus Logan from the SNP. This follows letters of support from political leaders on Capitol Hill in the US and from the European Parliament in Brussels. The international solidarity with the Garvaghy Road community has been incredible to see, and I want to commend all those who have offered their support. The message couldn’t be clearer. There can be no unwanted Orange march down the Garvaghy Road. There is no going back.
