Where would Man City be if they didn’t cheat? 🤷🏻‍♂️ We’ve taken the money pumped into the club by their owners, worked out which signings it funded each season and removed every Premier League goal those players scored. Here’s what the leagues would look like… A Thread 🧵👇🏼

And that brings the experiment to an end. Across 17 Premier League seasons, we removed 627 Man City goals. Seven titles changed hands 🏆: Manchester United: +3 Liverpool: +3 Arsenal: +1 Obviously, removing these players would have changed far more than just the goals they scored. But it shows just how different the Premier League could have looked without them.

Getting pissed and being a bit ropey in the morning is now a national news story and medical condition apparently.

City fans need to understand that football clubs are business—and have to be run accordingly—they're not play-things for billionaires.

The issue is that Man City have an army of lawyers that are crawling all over the PL rules looking for any flaws or coups. My opinion is that the PL bosses need to have the balls to impose punishment NOW and implement it NOW . Let Man City use their lawyers to apeal after.

I agree with your opinion of fact with regards the other clubs. Those clubs manned up and took their punishments. We are not dealing with people of integrity who own this sham of a club. They are not use to being held to account for their wrong doings in any walk of their life.

We have Love Island. We have Survivor. We have The Bachelor. Now please make a show where you put a billionaire CEO in a regular apartment, give them their lowest-paid employee’s paycheck, and tell them it has to last 30 days. I’d watch every episode.

Hey @grok, concise, no spin. On 9/11, was the exact security checkpoint the United 175 hijackers chose to go through operated by a subsidiary of an Israeli company founded by former Israeli intelligence personnel? Start with yes or no.

The more you lift weights, the stronger you get. The stronger you get, the more muscle you build. And the more muscle you build, the more calories you burn at rest. Now, the more calories you burn at rest, the easier the fat loss becomes. And the easier fat loss becomes, the better your insulin sensitivity. And the better your insulin sensitivity, the less body fat you store. Now, the less body fat you store, the lower your inflammation. And the lower your inflammation, the better your hormones become. Now, the better your hormones, the more energy you have. And the more energy now you have, the harder you can train. Now, the harder you train, the more muscle you build. Remember it is a cycle.

Manchester United were founded in 1878. Liverpool in 1892. Same era, footballing world and both built their success over generations, not overnight. Liverpool have 20 league titles, with 18 won before Financial Fair Play even existed. That history was built through Shankly, Paisley, Dalglish and decades of identity, standards and winning culture. United have 20 league titles too. The Busby legacy, the Class of ’92, Ferguson’s dynasty… all built long before billionaire ownership and state-level spending became part of modern football. FFP only arrived in 2011. These clubs had already become giants by then. That’s the difference. Real history takes decades to build. It comes through generations of players, managers, supporters and tradition. You can spend billions trying to manufacture success overnight, but you can’t buy 100 years of history.

Playing in a stadium this small this evening should be good preparation for Marc Guehi and Elliot Anderson for the National League next season. Very handy for them.

We need to stop pretending Manchester City is just a football club. They operate like a state-backed cartel, and if the FA fails to punish them, we will suffer their artificial dominance for decades. This isn't even about football anymore. UAE officials are literally threatening the UK government that City's punishment could impact state relations. Meanwhile, Rui Pinto, the whistleblower who exposed them, is being abruptly removed from Portugal's witness protection program on October 10 and is actively receiving death threats, with his lawyers calling the situation "critical" after he was already assaulted in April. When does this become politics instead of sport? If they get away with this, they will have the ultimate confidence to continue cheating forever.

Please stop comparing dying from poverty to Darwin’s “survival of the fittest.” Poverty is a social construct driven by wealth hoarding in the post industrial age, not by any natural shortage of resources.
