Virtuals Weekly Episode 95 Recap!
β₯ We edge closer to the big 100th episode and episode 95 didn't disappoint. Lots of objective, truthful takes, mixed with bullish sentiment.
β₯ We started by calling out the challenge currently across the
@virtuals_io ecosystem. There's just nowhere to win. Most participants have left, and those that remain are down bad with the ecosystem fall off, and all of the stealth tokens which have failed to unstealth. Fatigue is real, energy is at an all time low.
β₯ No launches scheduled across the entire launchpad for onky the second time ever. Linking in with the above sentiment, when participants have nothing to get involved with, they look elsewhere. The inability to have a steady stream of launches is hurting the ecosystem right now. We have been here before however, and we bounced back.
β₯ As anticipated, the Degen Arena was high on the list of things to discuss. The removal of subscriptions resulted in an 85% drop in th
$DG token, another kick in the teeth for those in the trenches. Whilst the arena is now streamlined, it represents more of a general trading comp which might mean it fades into the background rather than standing out from the crowd. We welcomed some clarifications but overall, no longer feel it's the vehicle to bring back the fire to the ecosystem.
β₯ We talked through some solutions as always. It's tough more broadly across crypto right now but a renewed focus on community is required before there's nobody left.
β₯ We took a close look at the
@StrikeRobot_ai launch. Congrats to the team on a solid launch in lss than ideal circumstances. The launched worked as expect this time too which was good to see.
β₯
@neutize joined us on stage to talk through the Robotics pivot we are currently seeing. It's key to see this as an addition to the Virtuals ecosystem, rather than a pivot away from anything else. The team have spent a considerable amount of time, money and effort expanding the team and hardware to include robotics as the fourth pillar of the ecosystem.
β₯ As we always try to do, we wrapped on a positive note. Virtuals playing a part alongside some big hitters in the AI space, co-authoring the Agentic Risk Standard (ARS) research paper with Google DeepMind, Microsoft Research, Columbia University, and t54 Labs. This really does show the level we are operating at with Virtuals and one of the reasons it stands head and shoulders above the crowd. Whilst the short-term outlook is bleak, the mid to long term remains ultra bullish.
