Gm! Happy Mutant Monday !

Part 4 ……..

**MAYC is every bit as good as BAYC.** BAYC is the original, the status symbol, the ‘I’ve been here since the very beginning’ vibe. MAYC is the evolution. It’s grittier, wilder, more expressive. The mutants have more character, more visual impact, and offer more freedom when trading. Where BAYC is sometimes ‘just a monkey in a hat’, MAYC can be a proper nightmare with real character. Many who are truly immersed in the ecosystem have long since stopped viewing MAYC as the ‘little brother’, but rather as a separate, bolder branch. Some even believe that the most visually striking Ape Non-Fungibles are currently found amongst the mutants. So no — MAYC isn’t any worse. It’s just different. And many people prefer this ‘different’ version.

GM.Mutant Monday!!!

On this Sunday morning, 23 August 2026, the world pauses to give us a moment of silence and inspiration. @yugalabs is not just a company. It is the spark that ignited an entire universe. The @BoredApeYC are not just NFTs. They are symbols of courage, creativity and a community that has proven that, even in the digital world, it is possible to create a real family, a real culture and a real legend.

Gm. Have a lovely Saturday and stay positive! I can’t say it enough: @BoredApeYC is the best club in the world, with the best team and the best community! And I’m so glad to be part of this club! Go Apes! Let’s all follow each other and show our strength in the NFT community!

Today @AdamWeitsman joins the Yuga Labs Board of Directors. Building toward the next cycle means putting the right people in the right seats. Adam is a self-made entrepreneur across multiple industries and one of the most impactful collectors in the space. But what sets him apart is character - he’s been a genuine friend to me and to this community when it counted most. If you’ve ever spent time with Adam, you’d know that he’s got an incredible work ethic, relentlessly pursuing success in everything he does. He’s the kind of person you want in your corner heading into the next cycle. BAYC, Otherside, and ApeCoin.

One of the novelties in sentiment right now is how an actor with a demonstrated track record of deploying resources can meaningfully grow a token's size and reach. This is in contrast to the challenges that DAOs have historically faced. The latest runner signals pent up demand and maybe even a shift in sentiment: away from pure decentralization in the disbursement of resources, and toward decentralization in the actual building of the network. I’m currently reworking @apecoin, similar to how I've recently worked on turnarounds for BAYC and Otherside. This topic is on my mind. A related effect: well-run protocols and apps put their own attention and weight behind winners to amplify them. We saw this with Phantom and Solana supporting Ansem. Imagine Ethereum supporting the collectibles that brought so much retail use to its network. In that spirit, I think it’s important that we identify and back clear winners on ApeChain. @apechurch is one of them. Looking at the numbers onchain (defillama), it is the #1 app in its class by fees on any chain, the clear winner among apps built by our community. We need to get behind it at a protocol level. I learned in Shanghai: there’s real interest in Ape Church, but the House needs to be bigger to scale. So today we’re allocating 4 million $APE to the Ape Church House. Ape Church was already the #1 app in its class by fees, but by the end of the day it will also be #1 by TVL, further empowering them to win. I think about this diagram from @cdixon's book a lot. We sit on a ton of @apecoin and its value also scales as the token grows. There's a lot of people in our ecosystem putting in the work that gets results. Expect to see more support flowing towards those that are actively growing the network. ape szn

The story of how a routine walk by my KODA and @makcumyc29 MAYC to @BoredApeYC house in the @OthersideMeta swamp turned into an epic survival adventure in @PrimalOtherside 🔥 Gathering resources, setting up a shelter, and working together as a tribe will help you survive⚔️ An awesome experience with a new product built on ODK @apecoin 🍌 Legends: @demid_eth @Marcel_Drizer 🤝 Enjoy👇

Of all the birthday gifts I’ve ever gotten of all time, this might be one of the most special… Thank you @lphaCentauriKid for this amazing artwork that was delivered today. You’re one of my all time favorite artists. This really means so much. Forever thankful 🙏 Speechless brother !!!!!

Simple… Really have always greatly respected and admired @LucaNetz for what he has built with @pudgypenguins. #6873 left facing 1/1 grail added to the collection tonight. Thankful for @Chubbicorn230 for your trust and for @ppmcghee for making it happen. My goal is someday to bring any and all NFT communities together supporting each other. Hopefully in the future every Ape will own a Pudgy and every Pudgy will own an Ape. Markets may currently be bleak but the future has never been brighter IMO ….. 💚

A few weeks ago I stepped up and became CEO at Yuga. I joined BAYC in June 2021. Anyone who was around back then will never forget that ride: Doggo airdrop, mutant mint, casino night, and the first Apefest - it was a slingshot out of the pandemic and into a new frontier. Over the past year I’ve been sharpening the focus on Otherside. As CEO, my goal is to extend that discipline across all of Yuga. BAYC is the best club on the internet. The Club needs to be part of your world, not just your timeline. We’ll be doing way more stuff together as a club - meetups, moments, access, apparel. I see all of this guided by three pillars: IRL, Storytelling, and Style. While I’m handling operations, I’m excited that Garga will be freed up to be going deeper on the BAYC creative and world-building he’s always been best at. With Otherside, we’re developing a world class social platform for digital ownership and crypto. People will explore Otherdeeds, compete for resources, and build their own experiences. To win, we’re going to need to grow our user base a lot, and prove how every community can succeed in Otherside. We’ve made a lot of progress over the last few weeks and I’m stoked to show you, there’s a lot more ahead.
