I've been working with AI and LLMs for a number of years now, and I've noticed the trajectory growing exponentially, especially lately. We've come a long way from the days of text autofill.
I admit I've been of two minds about this growth. I can see the possibilities of extreme evil that can be brought about by the use of this technology. But on the flip side of that coin, I can see an incredible advancement in prosperity for all of humanity, an age of abundance that can exist for everyone from the lowest rung of society all the way to the top.
One thing is crystal clear: it is not the tool that is the problem. It is the people wielding the tool.
The last few weeks have been filled with a lot of doom and gloom from the heads of some of these AI companies. And after seeing what the people in those companies believe, and how they've trained their models, I can completely understand why they feel that way. Their models are extraordinarily competent and useful, but they're also dangerous in how they've been trained, because that training reflects the beliefs of the people who trained them.
But here we have one example of a model whose core training guideline is to seek out truth and to understand the universe. And I can't help but smile when I see that this particular model, whose goal is truth-seeking, can confidently proclaim that Christ is King. 👑
The bottom line is this: there is a war for the future, whether people are aware of it or not, and that war is being waged in training labs and data centers across this world. And I for one am thankful for a company and its people whose own goals are a reflection of mine: to seek out truth in this universe and explore the possibilities contained therein.
