This is just one of the reasons so many Black people loved and respected Dolly Parton. Besides her tremendous philanthropic endeavors, she was an anti-racist. Imagine a young white girl coming out of the Appalachians growing up to love and embrace all people, regardless of race.

She had a special relationship with Yusuf (Cat). She defended him when he converted to Islam.

She sang so many songs was so many people and in so many styles and nailed it every time. She had so much fun being with other people and singing with other people. Rest in peace, Dolly.

I think that the language has to create a new word to describe her as all the current ones do not suffice.

I love this version. The word "Stimela" they refer to is actually the coal train Hugh Masekela sung about many years ago.
