I think there is something bigger than schedule 3 coming. Hemp and marijuana are both cannabis plants. You can extract the same cannabinoids from both plants, just different concentrations. The feds have experts on board now to aligns these 2.
They will need to regulate the compounds and dose, instead of what plant it came from.
THCa, CBGa, CBN, etc, is all the same from both plants. Unfortunately for marijuana a.k.a dispensaries, hemp can be sold on the streets. This is where the debate comes in.
Its not really a matter of schedule 3 coming, its the guidance on how and where these compounds can be sold. Legally and botanically, there CAN NOT be a difference if the THC comes from hemp vs marijuana. If they make ALL THC schedule 3, you can not sell it outside of a dispensary. There also can not be a recreational version of a medical substance (schedule 3 THC)..
The stock exchanges and banks can choose to work with these operators no matter the feds decision, but has been too risky. It appears now we are watching them open the doors, even ahead of full rescheduling.
There are many signs the whole industry will be getting some much needed regulation, and I would think they are going to help both sides. As long as you do not find new loopholes or try selling your products to minors.. all should be good for both sides in the end!
