The most visible Bitcoiners pushed for Trump as a savior for crypto and a way forward for BTC policy. Despite Trump continuing to be a grifting, self serving psychopath, these people haven’t claimed they were wrong in their votes. But hey, the Epstein cover-up is on Warren 😂😂
How about you focus on Epstein trafficking minors @SenWarren

The most prominent Bitcoin voices who aggressively advocated for Trump want to kill people for disrupting church, but haven't said a word about our president raping children or families torn apart by ICE. The world's biggest group of pussies.
Justinian I, 546 AD: disturbing or preventing worship is an assault on both God’s honor and civic peace; therefore, the authorities ought to treat it as among the highest public wrongs, severe enough to justify capital punishment.

If Bill Clinton raped girls within Jeffrey Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring, he should rot in prison. If Donald Trump raped girls within Jeffrey Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring, he should rot in prison. That wasn’t so difficult, was it?

Our country is bombing other countries and trying to sell off our public lands and some of the bigger names in Bitcoin can’t shut the fuck up about Bitcoin treasury companies. Maybe normies aren’t getting into BTC because people are concerned about bigger issues in the world.
I've honestly been stunned at the amount of interest I have seen (DMs, emails, etc) in treasury companies since the announcement Whatever you think about them, good or bad, it seems undeniable to me that they are generating more interest than any other recent Bitcoin trend

This is the cycle of losing respect for your Bitcoin heroes. Watching people cheer on authoritarians and staying silent on people losing their freedoms is the most anti-cypherpunk shit I've ever seen.

An open letter to @BillGates Dear Bill It is a free world, so I celebrate the fact you have the freedom to express your opinion "Bitcoin is useless". Equally, as a person of influence, you have the duty of care to make sure that your opinion is an informed one. Your comment "Bitcoin is useless" demonstrates that either a. You are uninformed, or b. You do not care for vast swathes of human life. Considering your well documented philanthropic efforts, I will assume it is the former, not the latter. So as someone who has spent a little more time than you researching the uses of Bitcoin, let me lay it out to you unambiguously. When you say "Bitcoin is useless", you are saying that: 1. While have read many books, it is clear however from your comments that a book on Bitcoin has not yet been one of them. Can I suggest you take steps to remedy this if you're planning on saying more about Bitcoin? As it stands, you are in your ignorance belittling a technology that is helping vast numbers of people already - often on matters of life or death, human dignity and basic human freedoms - and many of whom are those in the African continent that have publicly stated that you care greatly about. Please do better in your research, and be more evidence-based in your comments next time Bill. Sincerely Daniel Batten Climatetech Investor and Bitcoin analyst

.@greenpeaceusa has shown no interest in actually changing bitcoin's code. Else, they would have hired someone to explore the technical options. (They haven't.) They would have worked with environmentalists within the bitcoin community to engender support for such a change, so that the resulting fork might have a chance of success. (They haven't.) If they cared about bitcoin's impact on the environment, they'd have learned about methane mitigation, whether on oil fields or in landfills. (They haven't.) They'd have learned about the valley-filling and peak-shaving effects of a low-paying, time-agnostic, flexible user over power. (They haven't.) They'd have learned what "location agnosticism" means for an energy system that is transmission-constrained. (They haven't.) They'd have learned that none of the energy used to mine bitcoin is destroyed, but becomes low-grade heat, which we are using in ever more innovative ways. (They haven't.) They'd have learned that bitcoin is driven to find the cheapest electricity in the world, and such a buyer, if flexible, portable, and scalable, is, in the long run, a good thing for the energy transition. (They haven't.) They'd have actually read and engaged with the content of the KPMG report they high-handedly dismiss in a recent editorial. (They haven't.) They'd have learned the difference between coal and coal refuse. (They haven't.) They'd have taken up the issue of irrational energy subsidies, and environmental cleanup subsidies, with governments rather than pinning those issues on bitcoin miners. (They haven't.) They'd have weighed the environmental impacts of bitcoin mining against the good it provides to millions worldwide. (They haven't.) They'd have met with @DSBatten, who is actually trying to drive the network towards greenhouse-gas neutrality. (They haven't.) They haven't done any of these things, or anything like them. What HAVE they done? Hector bitcoiners. Shame is their only tool. And that's because it isn't, and never was, about changing the code, nor saving the environment. Their goal was always to create reputational risk for anyone involving their life with bitcoin, and to trigger anti-bitcoin legislation. They have nearly admitted as much in their tweets. And that would repay their billionaire crypto-magnate donor handsomely. Except... it hasn't worked. Their posts are uninformed, off-putting, tiresome. They're routinely ratioed by anyone who bothers to post a reply. They're screeching into the void. This isn't nuclear, where Greenpeace and the Sierra Club set back clean, abundant energy by decades. Nuclear was an ill-understood and emerging technology, like bitcoin. It struck the imagination, like bitcoin, in a new and terrifying way. But nuclear wasn't a people's movement. Bitcoin is. There are tens of thousands of us who are educated on the above questions. An average pleb knows more than the Greenpeace mercenaries on the above issues. And we're defending home turf (bitcoin and Earth.) Meanwhile, the reality on the ground is that as bitcoin mining's margins grow slimmer and we approach another halving, the scary models look ever more ridiculous, like the 2017 Newsweek/WEF headline that bitcoin will use all the world's energy by 2020. Simultaneously, we are seeing mining innovation blossom, as it grows into the unique "dung beetle" role for which it was always destined. We are going to win.

Many factual inaccuracies here @cltomlinson -- addressed below. "Generators are not investing in cleaner and more efficient power sources because peak periods are less profitable." ERCOT price volatility has gone up because of grid penetration by intermittent renewables. These generation types drive $0 and negative power prevalence which disincentivizes reliable generation that is badly needed by ERCOT. August and September were the second and sixth highest around the clock power months in @ERCOT_ISO history. As you can see in the charts below, this was driven by the solar ramp hours of 7-10PM - this is when solar is coming offline and wind has not picked up yet. Previously 5pm was the peak pricing hour, now solar prevalence and ramp dynamics have pushed it back a few hours to when there is no sunshine. Your assertion here implies that market forces are the factor when in fact it is mother nature. Most miners also drive up costs by demanding multimillion-dollar payments to turn off. Miners participation in ERCOT ancillary services drives down prices by adding bidders to the ancillary services pool. More bidders on the load side = lower prices paid by ERCOT via more competition to provide services. Miners are less than 10% of ancillary services providers as is. Ancillary services costs are paid by all loads, so miners are actually saving consumers money. ERCOT does not pay residential or small business consumers to save electricity, but sent emails and text messages this summer begging for conservation. In order to be paid to shut off, you need to own a fixed price power contract, have wholesale power market access(with some exceptions), and associated metering. You have to take risk on power prices in order to be paid to shut off, my company @CormintInc for example does not own fixed price power contracts and we voluntarily shut off to avoid high power prices, anyone can do this. ERCOT is required to serve any large facility that safely hooks up to the grid, whether there is enough power to support it or not. Texas summer demand jumped 8% this year, far faster than officials anticipated. This is typically measured from YoY peak to peak and as @lee_bratcher pointed out, crypto loads were shut off during the peaks. so the 8% jump here was from all other loads including new businesses and residents moving to Texas. Notably - most new data centers that are not Bitcoin miners do not shut off when there are high prices and contribute to increasing peak demand YoY. h/t @bp_plc Nathan Mancha for the data/graphics
