Looking at the onboards, there was definitely enough time for McLaren to pre-empt the VSC.

That’s what I’m wondering I see why they didn’t jump the gun all he needs is a quick roll forward and done. If anything the VSC needs to be 10 seconds or less for marshals to get behind push and done.
