This is actually frightening because as we keep learning and upskilling to make more money, people are also discovering new ways to steal that money from us. Imagine convincing people to build, fund, and approve their own wallet drainers. This is not even the usual click-on-links or download-an-app scenario. YouTube videos that are supposed to be educational Mehn…. 224 wallets lost 274.6 ETH. What exactly are we supposed to watch out for now? Here are a few steps I think we should all start taking: ⇥ Don’t blindly run code just because it’s from a YouTube tutorial or someone you trust. ⇥ Never connect your main wallet to something you haven’t fully verified. ⇥ Read what you’re signing or approving before confirming any transaction. ⇥ Use a separate wallet for testing new protocols, bots, or smart contracts, and only fund it with what you can afford to lose. ⇥ Verify smart contracts and links through official sources. ⇥ Don’t rely on comments, Telegram/Discord messages, or random tutorials. ⇥ If something asks you to deposit more money to “fix” a failed transaction, STOP. ⇥ Slow down. FOMO is a dangerous tool in the wrong hands. Knowledge matters, but so does verification. Please be cautious out there.
