A thread... 1./ The IOCs decision to make no ruling on the participation of transwomen athletes in female sport before Tokyo2020 confirms that the IOC like many others have forgotten how and why sport is segregated in the first place in the heat of the gender debate

A scandal in the making.
There have been many scandals through the history of modern medicine. But none even come close to "gender-affirming care." Think about it: A political movement just conjured into existence a type of young person that defies every single thing known about child and adolescent development, demanded that this fictional patient cohort be pumped full of toxic unproven drugs in the complete absence scientific justification, then insisted that these innocent youth be ushered into the operating theatre to have healthy body parts needlessly lopped off. Extremists of this movement took over the leading professional association in the field (WPATH), set about creating garbage standards of care based on their unhinged ideology, infiltrated the Endocrine Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics and engaged in a conspiracy to manufacture scientific consensus for their despicable, unethical experiment. And every major medical association just went along with it! Fell for the stunt these crackpots pulled! Just accepted that a group of healthy kids needed to have their bodies destroyed because they possess a mystical inner gender essence, that these modern-day lobotomies are “medically necessary” and “life-saving” because a bunch of unhinged fanatics said so.

A New York jury just awarded $2 MILLION to a young woman who underwent a double mastectomy at 16 and later detransitioned. The jury found her psychologist and surgeon liable for malpractice. Her case alleged that serious mental-health issues, including depression, body dysmorphia, anorexia and autism-spectrum traits, were not adequately addressed before an irreversible procedure was performed on a minor. Now watch what happens when someone like her speaks publicly. For years we were told regret was exceedingly rare. We were told these procedures were necessary care. We were told questioning the process itself was dangerous. But when a detransitioner stands up and says, “This happened to me,” suddenly she becomes the problem. That is the epistemic tell. When evidence supports the narrative, it is celebrated. When evidence contradicts the narrative, the person carrying the evidence gets attacked. A jury heard the testimony. A jury examined the evidence. A jury found malpractice. And a jury put the damages at $2 million. You don’t protect vulnerable young people by demanding silence from the ones who came back and said, “I wish someone had slowed this down.” You protect them by listening. #AStoneGroove #SilentMajoritySpeaks

Read this & weep💔 Daniel Greaves was found with over 114,000 indecent images of children, mainly little boys aged 3-5years old. Many of these images were the most serious category of abuse. These images were among a library of 22 MILLION across 70+ devices. Most images couldn’t be searched due to the sheer volume. Despite being the most child abuse images the court had ever seen in a single case, guess what?!…. HE AVOIDED JAIL!!!! I honestly can not believe this man is not behind bars😡🤬 We have a sickness in this society - we will jail people for words or tweets or for (allegedly) slashing a rubber dinghy - but the most vile peadophiles? It’s fine - we’ll let them walk free 🤯🤯💔💔🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ This man should have been castrated and then jailed for a very long time. He is in my neck of the woods. Fellow Hullensians & neighbours - remember his name. Look out for him and keep him far, far away from your children… hulldailymail.co.uk/news/hul…

Oof - this one hits hard. If Dr P is right, anyone who affirmed a 'trans' colleague made things worse for them. Horrifying to think that employers forced their staff to do this for YEARS - and many are still doing it. Link to @Psychgirl211's unflinching new interview ⬇️

🧵The Hawaii 5-0 Classic is the largest indoor volleyball tournament in Hawaii. Held every year, it attracts hundreds of teams and thousands of players that include men and women from teenagers and masters players to collegiate and professionals, (who are restricted to the AA/Open divisions.) Being a tournament that hosts a women's division, there are, of course, men to be found playing "as women" in it. At this year's tournament, the winning team of the "Women's" AA division, the Haus of Diamonds, had three men on it: Jayden "Taimane" Yeager, Donovan "Donnie" Leopoldo, and Max "Layah" Aiono.

Wow. “We have to sit down and listen to both sides” now, is it? After all those years of howling down women as bigots when they calmly and politely raised reasonable concerns about self-ID policies.
That kind of reaction is exactly why no dialogue happened in 2018. We have to sit down and listen to both sides and find different solutions and I’m afraid one side can’t have it all. That includes your side. Trans people exist and have rights to transition in law and change gender. That has to be recognised.

To get this straight, @labourunionsuk are saying that the Equality Act 2010 (Labour Gov) is wrong. This means the Sex Discrimination Act (also Lab) was wrong too. They want to take women's rights back to the 1960s. Go the whole hog & take away our votes, why don't you?
Replying to @labourunionsuk
A clear message from our Chair: "Just because something is the law, does not mean it is right. Laws can be wrong. Section 28 was the law, and it was wrong. And you know what the Labour government did? It changed the law. It can be done. It must be done."

Time for female trades union members to make it clear that they do not not want their subs used in campaigns to destroy women’s rights. There is a link to an opt out form in Lucy’s thread.
Information for trades union members who don't want their membership used to lobby against women's rights. Write to explain why as well. Further info in link in next tweet. #OptOutOfBetrayal gov.uk/government/publicatio…

Women’s membership of unions is declining….I wonder why? 🤔
Replying to @soniasodha
Union representation has gone from a peak of 50% in 1979 to 22.4%. There are more females in unions than men and yet the above come out with this? Indeed, female workers in the public sector seem to be voting with their feet and have left unions - reversing the trend.

I would like a lot of people to read this letter in full. Lisa was entirely discreet while this was happening, as instructed by RCN, so Kath and I knew nothing and couldn’t offer her any support. Read and absorb, as a “how not to” of management. FAO @IsntWorkingPod
And finally, the letter I sent to the then RCN Scotland director when I resigned, which was referenced in my evidence today. medium.com/@l.n.mackenzie/le…

This is a great post by @JoFMarshall setting out in detail the failure of unions to support women.
@Channel4News are totally missing the point here. The report should be focusing on the utter failure of the RCN and other unions to support women and their sex based rights and sex realist beliefs and how this week’s lawfare cases highlight that. ⬇️ If you still think the unions have women’s backs, just look at the court lists this week. Today in Edinburgh, Norma Austin Hart and Alison Ann-Dowling are bringing a judicial review against Community because the union’s Gender Equality Strategy treats “women and non-binary people” as one group, even after the @ForWomenScot Supreme Court judgment said sex in the Equality Act means biological sex. Norma and Alison tried the proper route first, raising the policy internally and waiting for the leadership to listen and say that they were threatened with discipline instead. So two lifelong trade unionists are now asking a judge to do the job their union would not. Meanwhile in Dundee, Sandie Peggie is in the middle of a high profile 7 day hearing against the RCN, the union she paid into for 30 years. After she objected to a man in the women’s changing room, Sandie says the RCN failed to support her and treated her beliefs as the problem. Her three brilliant witnesses including from @ScotLesbians and @mbmpolicy helped to explain the horrifying degree of institutional capture. These are not isolated cases. @Fiona44444, a lifelong PCS activist and retired Scottish Government civil servant, is taking her own union to tribunal after she says it sidelined her for the same beliefs. Stephanie Pratt, an NHS biomedical scientist, is doing the same against Unite. These women were the members unions used to boast about: loyal, long-serving, the ones who turned up, paid the subs and expected representation when it counted. That is what makes this so bleak, because the organisations built to protect workers with the least power, often women on part-time hours, second jobs and lower grades, have left those same women to hire lawyers. This weekend makes the point even sharper. @unisontheunion , with @ASLEFunion , @USDAW and the @MusiciansUnion, is boycotting Labour’s women’s conference in Liverpool because the main hall is restricted to women as a sex, in line with the Supreme Court. @Unison says that runs counter to its policy on “trans equality”. So the largest union in the country would rather stay away from a women’s conference than accept that “woman” means female. The established unions are entirely captured so women are resorting to lawfare and setting up their own unions when they only wanted the old ones to do their job. Hence the Darlington nurses had to found the @DarlingtonUnion , co-founded by Bethany Hutchison, now its president and a witness in Sandie’s Dundee case. In sport, @sharrond62 and @TracyEdwardsMBE had to set up the Women’s Sports Union. Unions were supposed to be the shield for people who could not fight alone. Watch this week and ask who that shield is for now. I doubt Channel 4 will bother though. You can follow both hearings this week on @tribunaltweets and @tribunaltweets2

Scottish nurse Sandie Peggie is taking action against her own union, the Royal College of Nursing. She says her union reps didn't support her when she was suspended for complaining about using the same changing room as her transgender colleague Dr Beth Upton. This is her second tribunal. Previously a judge upheld a harassment claim against her employer NHS Fife arising from the same facts. Her team said they can’t tell Channel 4 News who is funding the case for legal reasons but they did say it was a 'left wing individual'. JK Rowling's office won’t confirm if she is financially backing her.
