Energy still has my attention. Tight oil supply supports near-term cash flow, but the next leg higher needs more than geopolitical headlines. $COP โ€” Scale and shareholder returns. $3B returned in Q2. $EOG โ€” Cost discipline, with $2.8B in Q2 free cash flow. $OXY โ€” Stronger oil could accelerate debt reduction. The balance sheet remains key. $DVN โ€” Coterra integration gives it a cost-savings catalyst beyond oil prices. $FANG โ€” Permian scale and $2.3B in Q2 free cash flow. $BKR โ€” A different angle: LNG equipment and services, not just higher crude. Iโ€™m constructive over the next 6โ€“12 months, especially where cash flow funds buybacks or reduces debt.

This account is a documentary, not a sermon. Itโ€™s my journey, not instructions for yours. My name is Craig. Iโ€™m 50, live in South Florida, born in Canada. โ€œSCHD STANโ€ is a persona. Itโ€™s fun. I love $SCHD, but itโ€™s not my only holding, and this isnโ€™t a cult. Iโ€™m a long term investor focused on balance. I believe you can take something from every investing style dividends, growth, value and build your own approach. If you own both value and growth, you donโ€™t have to chase performance when cycles shift. Youโ€™re already in it. Thatโ€™s how I invest. My largest position is the S&P 500. I DCA into it every two weeks no matter what. $SCHD is number two. I also own individual stocks like $GOOGL, $AAPL, $META, $AMZN, $V along with ETFs like $SCHG, $FDVV, $CGDV, $DGRO, $SMH $VYMI. So why do I talk so much about $SCHD? Because I think itโ€™s one of the most misunderstood ETFs out there. Itโ€™s not just about yield. It combines a strong starting yield, consistent dividend growth, and solid long term appreciation. To me, it helps balance out a portfolio that leans heavier toward growth and tech. Not instead of growth, alongside it. My goal is to steadily build my $SCHD position to $1M+ over time, creating a growing income stream for myself and my family for years to come. On this account I track my journey, share thoughts in real time, estimate SCHDโ€™s quarterly dividends, and run my own version of the annual reconstitution to anticipate additions and removals. I also highlight dividend raises across holdings, report earnings for major holdings, post daily price updates, and share news on the fund and the companies it holds. All to better understand how it works and share that with anyone interested. Outside of investing, I enjoy running, watching football, movies, doing push-ups, and spending time with my family. Iโ€™m not here to tell you what to buy. Just showing how I do it. Step by step. Share by share. For the long run. Letโ€™s chat. Tell me how youโ€™re building your portfolio. Ask me anything about mine or $SCHD, how I think about it, how Iโ€™m building it. Thanks for stopping by to read this. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

$ALAB Textbook bull flag into major support, now breaking higher. The pullback gave you the entry. The breakout is paying for the patience. $CRDO looks a few days behind on a similar setup. Buy the controlled pullbacks. Scale out into strength. Stop chasing the move you were afraid to buy. I hope some tailed ๐Ÿค

A little green across the board in this snapshot, with tech and small caps showing a modest edge. Fridayโ€™s softer jobs report eased October rate-hike fears, giving bulls something to build on. Treasury yields are still worth watching after reversing their initial drop. Encouraging early tone. Iโ€™d like to see those gains hold into the cash session, with more stocks participating as volume picks up. $SPY $QQQ $IWM

$XE finished Friday up 3.1%. The fuel business is what has my attention. X-energy completed vertical construction of its TX-1 fuel facility. Interior work and equipment installation still come next, so this isnโ€™t an operating plant yet. But a reactor rollout needs a dependable fuel supply. Building that capability alongside the reactors could become a meaningful advantage. Thereโ€™s plenty left to prove. Iโ€™m encouraged that thereโ€™s actual construction progress to follow, with more concrete milestones ahead.

$IOT is setting up for a possible breakout. The stock closed around $40, right near the $39.97 level on this chart. Above that, the main hurdle is the descending trendline around $44.36. If buyers reclaim that area, the recent pullback could turn into a higher low and open the door back toward the prior highs. The setup is getting tighter. Iโ€™m watching $39.97 for support and $44.36 for the breakout.

Look at this. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics revised August job numbers down by 29,000, shifting the initial gain of 162,000 jobs down to 133,000. July was revised down by 31,000 (from +21,000 to a loss of -10,000), making a combined 60,000-job downward revision for the prior two months. Unusual.

$AVGO has a lot more going on than one Google TPU cycle. This pipeline maps out multiple customers and chip generations extending into 2028โ€“2029. Thatโ€™s what I like here: several potential ramps, spread over years. And thereโ€™s already real revenue behind the story. Broadcom reported $16.7B in quarterly AI semiconductor sales, up 221% year over year. If more of these programs reach volume production, custom AI chips could give Broadcom a long growth runway. This is a business Iโ€™d keep digging into.

$NBIS fell 1.53% on the day it announced the Inferize acquisition. The news still looks useful to me. Inferizeโ€™s technology is designed to help customers launch and scale inference workloads faster. Improving that experience could help Nebius attract repeat usage, rather than compete on GPU availability alone. I like the direction. Customer adoption and the economics of serving those workloads will tell us what the acquisition is actually worth.

98 YEARS AGO TODAY, THE DOW JONES INDUSTRIAL AVERAGE EXPANDED TO 30 STOCKS On October 1, 1928, the index grew from 20 companies to 30, the same number it uses today. The new lineup included General Electric, General Motors, Chrysler, Sears Roebuck, Texaco, U.S. Steel, Westinghouse and Woolworth. Less than a year later, the market peaked on September 3, 1929. The crash followed weeks after that. Today, none of those 30 companies are still in the Dow.

$CRWD just made itself easier to buy. Eligible OpenAI enterprise customers can now purchase Falcon through the OpenAI Marketplace using part of their existing commitments. That matters. A security team can love a product and still spend months getting a separate budget approved. This potentially removes some of that friction. Shares closed up 1.35% at $262.74. We still need to see how much business comes through the channel, but I like this move. CrowdStrike is putting its products closer to the budgets already funding enterprise AI.

Had to read $FPS's order numbers twice. $1.5B in fiscal Q4 bookings against $462M in revenue. Backlog reached $3B, and management expects $2.4Bโ€“$2.6B in fiscal 2027 sales. Forgent makes the electrical distribution equipment these data centers need. There's a pretty straightforward reason customers are placing orders. Shares were around $37 Tuesday afternoon, recovering only part of Monday's selloff. The market still wants proof that the production ramp can keep up. Fair enough. Those orders are worth following, especially if shipments and cash collections start catching up.
