I just saw a bald eagle in Central Park catch and kill another bird (seagull?) and got it on film. Actual coolest thing ever. #birdcpp

It’s with a heavy heart we share that a barred owl, a beloved Central Park resident, passed away early this morning.

Today I watched two male red-winged blackbirds get into a fight, with one attempting to drown the other. After being fully submerged for a few minutes, I was sure it was a goner, but it somehow survived and is now resting comfortably at the @wildbirdfund #birdcpp

Happy Mother's Day to this mallard, who lost some of her ducklings in a storm drain at Green-wood Cemetery. Rehabber Mary Beth Purdy Artz was able to rescue the ducklings but couldn't find the mother. We encouraged her to keep trying and, after hours of searching, she did!
