I have long admired the late Bishop Sheen for his adherence to the Word of God and courage to speak out on issues that matter. I am not a Catholic but kudos to the church for honoring his memory.
Later today, Archbishop Fulton Sheen will become the first American-born bishop to be beatified by the Catholic Church.
Archbishop Sheen understood the threat of communism, and he was not afraid to call out this evil ideology. He boldly declared that “Communism is the scavenger of decaying civilizations.”
