The delivery was supposed to be the easy part. Then the pets showed up. Some came in curious. Some came in suspicious. Some clearly believed they were head of security. And a few were just thrilled that a new best friend had arrived at the door. Honestly, delivery drivers probably deserve hazard pay… or at least unlimited treats for the welcoming committee.

I’m standing with the staff on this one. He is not smart enough to go somewhere else and still hasn’t learned his lesson. That’s not a customer, that’s a loyalty program with extra steps. A tiny kitten stopped an entire highway… and somehow reminded everyone what kindness looks like. The little gray-and-white escape artist ended up on busy Route 36 in New Jersey, darting across the roadway as drivers slowed and stopped to keep her safe. A truck driver even got out to try to help. Then she pulled the most kitten move possible - disappearing into the engine compartment of a stopped SUV. Atlantic Highlands Police moved the vehicle to safety and tried several times to reach her before Patrolman Davi Cunha finally pulled the tiny stowaway out through the wheel well. Safe. Scooped up. And headed to the Monmouth County SPCA. For a few minutes, strangers on a busy highway all agreed on one thing: That tiny life mattered.
