Don't take my word for it - here is Maj Gen Joe Solo Kunkel, Military Deputy Director at Defense Innovation Unit (DIU):
"When I talk to groups about Hermeus, they’re doing stuff that is unheard of in the aviation industry. On their first flight, they flew with the gear down—yeah, that makes sense. On the second flight, they put the gear up. That doesn’t make sense on the second flight. On the third flight, they went Mach 1.2. On the fourth flight, they went Mach 1.6. On the fifth flight, they dropped a weapon,” Kunkel said. “These things are all completely unheard of, but I think they’re the benefits of doing your own research and development and using private capital to fund that...and [we're] in contract negotiations right now for [additional DIU funding].”

Pratt & Whitney has licensed another American company to build its F100 fighter jet engines for the first time in history.
That company is @hermeuscorp.
Domestic propulsion has hit a massive supply crunch, and engine availability was the single biggest bottleneck looming over scaling the Quarterhorse program.
By bringing production in-house, Hermeus becomes the first vertically integrated airframer manufacturing both airframes and engines, all while injecting critical engine capacity back into the defense industrial base.

Five years ahead of schedule. $195 million under budget.
Since October 2023, crews replaced 196 bridge structures and more than 12,600 feet of railroad along the 133-year-old Park Avenue Viaduct—all over 28 tightly coordinated weekends while maintaining full Metro-North service.
The work took place along a critical corridor carrying 98% of Metro-North trains—approximately 750 trains and 260,000 passengers every day.
With the major structural replacement now complete, we asked the project lead how the MTA delivered the work faster and for less without disrupting service.
