Genocide is amoral. Collective punishment is warcrime. Humanity matters. Sanction Israel for apartheid, warcrimes & crimes against humanity. Defund Israel.

Flooding millions of unemployed civil servants into Trump’s plummeting economy? That’s the plan. A poor, destitute, hungry and frail population is EASIER to control. Red state children will quit school to feed little siblings like in the Gilded Age of robber barons & corruption.

Read that again. A 94 year old Jewish human rights lawyer arrested under terrorism legislation - for opposing genocide. I interviewed her before she was arrested. It's not Margaret Owen who is a terrorist. It's the people who helped Israel wipe Gaza from the face of the earth
BREAKING: 94 year old Jewish human rights barrister, Margaret Owen arrested under the Terrorism Act outside @andyburnham’s Labour Party conference. UK taxpayers are funding these arrests while masked men terrorise the streets in coastal towns. Lift The Ban on Palestine Action.

Mistakenly targeted is not how I’d define it.
A man is recovering from injuries to his head, neck and teeth that he sustained after ICE officers mistakenly targeted him in a Chicago suburb. nbcnews.com/news/us-news/vid…

The smears won’t work. Opposing genocide and apartheid is not anti-semitism.
The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect.  Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life. This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public.  Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.

Shoutout to every “expert” who responded to my NSPM-7 coverage by insisting nothing would happen because there’s no domestic terrorism law
An American just got sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for moving “Antifa” zines and there’s about 1000x as much media coverage of Trump’s reflecting pool 👍

Ta-Nehisi Coates: “I don’t know how you remain consistent by claiming an anti-apartheid legacy here in the United States of America while enforcing it abroad.” Coates told Chris Hayes that the Democratic Party cannot continue avoiding the issue of Gaza and Palestine, saying the party is already facing a political and moral reckoning ahead of 2028.

You can't tax rich people on unrealized gains from stocks because "it's not real money until it's sold." So explain to me why my property taxes keep going up based on the unrealized value of my house? I didn't sell it. I didn't cash out. I didn't make a profit. But somehow I'm paying taxes on paper gains every single year. Interesting how "unrealized gains" only become a problem when wealthy folks are involved.

Can't overstate how important it is to celebrate and publicize these historic wins in the face of huge rightwing ideological & political apparatuses.
Absolute bombshell. Mayor Mamdani defies the establishment by rolling out a staggering 100,000 universal childcare offers across NYC. He confirms the city is aggressively expanding early education to toddlers. The administration is actively saving families thousands.

Donating $5 million to the people investigating you is corruption. Accepting $5 million from the person you’re investigating is corruption. Our government is run by corrupt billionaires and bought politicians.
Howard Lutnick donated $5 million to House Republicans before testifying to the House Oversight Committee about his business deals with Jeffrey Epstein and visit to Epstein's island.
