ALT There are always plenty of rivals to our work. We are always falling in love or quarreling, looking for jobs or fearing to lose them, getting ill and recovering, following public affairs. If we let ourselves, we shall always be waiting for some distraction or other to end before we can really get down to our work. The only people who achieve much are those who want knowledge so badly that they seek it while the conditions are still unfavorable. Favorable conditions never come.

A long time ago in a continent far, far away.... what's it called when you're waiting to fly out of the Charles de Gaulle airport to Mumbai, and much to your shock a dear friend who was supposed to be on his way to Palo Alto walks towards you after asking your friends where you are.
On asking what he was doing there, he says he ended up at the wrong terminal, but he's really happy to see you, gives you a full, long goodbye hug, only to never to see you again? Any word that's the opposite of serendipity?

Blocking a beautiful, kind, funny, honest, loyal, pretty, smart woman or man after interacting with them in any capacity is considered a sign of great disrespect in my culture.
Akin to breaking their hearts, ripping off a chunk of their souls and abandoning them... just like parts of their blasphemous, cowardly families already did.

I admit to have laughed aloud and dropped my mouth open in shock alone in my room, whenever my friends had bad break-ups and their ex-girlfriends ended up marrying their lookalikes. 😭💀

Few things I hate more than this nonsense.
FYI, the only password I'd ever set failed -> After changing the password, new password gave this red warning -> made me setup google auth -> had to process google auth -> took 3 retries before I could login the console -> payment page wasn't visible or accessible -> had to go to OG email to find a link to go to payments -> couldn't pay the pending INR 5.74 together, had to pay 3 invoices of 1.91, 1.92, 1.91 rupees separately.
If I had to write a 'Five point someone' it would be a horror story like this.

Don't need no bill payment for THAT reminder. It's placed in front of the guy anyway in 90% of the cases.
Recently this happened to us in Paris. Three of us were women and one man dining in a really nice restaurant.
We jokingly told him to foot it for the patriarchy then. Also because three of us at the table were jobless and he works in PE. 😂
P.S. One bootstrapped founder, one surgeon on a career break and one carbon detransition and climate specialist on a sabbatical tbc.

reported for hate speech, hate crime, violent speech, sensitive content that needed a trigger warning et al. they're the books i've read more than 20 times in my life, each one of them. only JKR knows them better than i do. 😛
i hate that now when i tell people i am not a fan of harry potter they always think it is some kind of culture wars thing. but it is just about how the books are just not that good.
