A policy decision that sparked seismic social and cultural transformation inside our country. And not a single person voted for it.

The conversion bill is a Trojan horse to undo gender critical gains and control parenting, it will make it a criminal offence to doubt, challenge or caution any identity claim by a distressed teenager. It makes it illegal to say "I think you're gay/lesbian, not the opposite sex".
An excellent letter from the Gay Men’s Network that highlights the dangers Conversion Practices legislation represents to gay men, to lesbians and to the parents of gay teens.

1/ We’ve written to the Secretary of State for Equalities concerning misinformation that appeared in an article she wrote over the weekend. It’s important that the debate around the draft conversion bill is accurate and the Minister should promote this. gaymensnetwork.co.uk/letters

Across Europe, globalist liberalism has offered the young a permanent twilight of alienation. Unable to access housing, to start families, disconnected from community, authority and career jobs, a generation is rising with no stake in the future. it takes thirty years for the failure of an ideology to become manifest. Time is up. The sky is dark with chickens coming home to roost. sdp.org.uk/france_s_riots_ar…

This is one corner of our economy where we really can't afford to indulge any more apparatchicks more concerned with what the politburo wants them to say than what the data is telling us. People will die, unnecessarily. This is Banana Republic stuff.
It’s official: a legal investigation has found engineers in Britain’s electricity grid control room are stressed because renewables make it so hard to keep the lights on. And when they raise concerns, managers won’t listen - they only want “good news” thetimes.com/article/413d547…

The word "parent" does not feature in the draft bill or the explanatory notes. There is absolutely no reason in law why a parent could not be prosecuted and the former minister explicitly rejected a parental carve out, conceding that some would be. The Minister's assurances are worthless.
Bridget Phillipson's assurance that 'refusing to accept a child's identity' will not be prosecutable under conversion practices legislation is contradicted by the bill itself, which says that 'psychological or emotional pressure' with the intention of changing 'transgender identity' could qualify as a criminal offence. How can Phillipson know how a court will interpret 'refusing to accept a child's identity' given the vague and open-ended definitions in the bill? An op-ed by a politician will be scant consolation when a parent is facing a criminal claim or a protection order that will destroy their relationship with their child. And the question remains: what 'abuse' is the bill designed to tackle that is not already an offence in law? archive.ph/BDRJN

This is a really good example of how clear & understandable the EHRC Guidance is. Following it in a respectful, polite kind of way is exactly how it should be done. The only people complaining that the guidance is confusing are the ones outraged they have to follow the rules.

Maybe - just maybe - nations that fail to provide meaningful opportunities for families of childbearing age should focus on restoring that, and not on shovelling extra bodies over the border.

Parents have power over children so 'abuse of power' has implications. In fact ANY adult in a child's life arguably has power over them, whether it's a teacher, doctor or favourite auntie, so in effect NO adult can tell a child they're wrong to think they're the opposite sex.

3/ This is misleading. The draft bill criminalises "any conduct" which after the fact the jury find to be "abusive". There is no requirement for physical force etc. at all the explanatory notes specifically say it would be words. There is no need to intend harm at all.

Spreading lies about Jews, Zionism and Israel turns Jews into targets. @TheGreenParty are following @UKLabour's lead and Labour don't fuel the fire without media like @bbcnews spreading endless libels. It take a nation to attack three Jewish women.
🚨 Hate Crime; Jewish ladies viciously assaulted 🎥 CCTV shows 2nd attack 📞 Shomrim received a call from a visibly Jewish lady, reported being punched in the face by a middle-aged male on Clapton Common, E5. 👊 Shomrim volunteers arrived on scene 30 seconds later to witness a 2nd vicious assault on another Jewish lady. She was punched twice in the face, leaving significant bruising. 🚔 @MPSHackney arrested the male for racially & religiously aggravated GBH, as well as for outstanding warrants. ✡️ The victims told Shomrim that they believe they were assaulted because they were Jewish, as the offender only targeted Jewish ladies. 📢 Appeal: Further assaults have been reported to Shomrim, with additional victims yet to come forward. Shomrim are appealing for any witnesses or indeed any further victims to come forward. ☎️ Contact @Shomrim or @MetCC quoting CAD 3400 19/10/26. #ViolenceAgainstWomenAndGirls #VAWG #HateCrime #Antisemitism #GBH

Are they amending the Draft as they go along? It’s an utter mess @andyburnham and we are pretty sure it doesn’t pass the Makerfield Test.
Bridget Phillipson says the conversion practices bill won't target parents. There is nothing on the face of the bill that says parents are protected. She says the test is “serious physical or psychological harm”. In fact the bill sets the test much lower at “serious alarm or distress…which has a substantial adverse effect on their usual day-to-day activities”. This could easily capture parents who don't let their child wear a binder or go out dressed as the opposite sex.

Miller v Chief Constable @LincsPolice & @ukhomeoffice Nov 2026. High Court. Leeds I have a criminal record. For stalking. With hate markers. The victim is a former police officer, dismissed for Gross Misconduct. To clarify. This is an actual criminal record. I have a criminal record. And I was given it without being interviewed, informed, questioned, or charged; the CPS were not involved, and there was no magistrate, judge or jury. The Chief Constable just gave it to me because it is in his gift to do so. Because the Home Secretary says he can.

Missing from this conversation is the fact that last week food merchants in Gaza were going on strike because they were so angry at the huge margins Hamas is extracting from them. Why is Hamas never mentioned?
One of the main suppliers of food aid to Gaza, the UN’s World Food Programme, says it’s being forced to “drastically reduce lifesaving assistance” because of a funding shortage. Acting exec director Carl Skau is asked if he is pushing the Israeli government hard enough.
