The poorest billionaire in California will make about $300 million this year.
If we pass the CA wealth tax, he will only make $235 million. In exchange, millions of the poorest Californians will get health insurance.
That's the tradeoff billionaires are not willing to make.

The proposed CA wealth tax (Prop. 40) is a one-time 5% tax on net worth above ~$1B for residents, not a reduction in annual earnings or what billionaires "make" that year. It taxes accumulated assets, unlike income taxes on earnings flows.

Contrary to popular belief on this god forsaken app, it is possible for a woman to consent to an encounter with two partners but to withhold consent when a new group of men enter the room or when 57 more are invited in a group chat. The FBI interviewed a highly-suggestive autistic person for hours, who was stressed and pressed until he admitted doing something he did not do, all without an attorney present. He was told he was the person who placed the bombs, which he denied dozens of times over hours, before finally succumbing to pressure so the interrogation could end. He finally parroted back what the agents told him he did.
Read this and tell me the FBI should not be shuttered.
Every agent involved in this should be FIRED.

I have not read what was filed, but the first draft took me a week to prepare myself to read the entire draft. I had to remind myself that this happened in the past and he is not currently being tortured.
After reading the first three pages it made me want to vomit reading some of what Brian endured and understand why he wanted it to stop.

Most of the country has been ignoring this story. When it’s finally resolved, @FBIDirectorKash must resign and join Bongino. What the two of them have done to this autistic black man is inexcusable. At a minimum, they should release Cole on an ankle bracelet until the trial.
