“Do whatever you need to do to save your baby girl.” “Hi! We just wanted to send a quick note to thank you all so much for your support last week. It was, without a doubt, the scariest experience of our lives, and we cannot tell you how much it meant to know that when we reached out to our Care Advocate, there were no pre-approvals, permissions, or hoops to jump through. We were simply told, “Do whatever you need to do to save your baby girl.” In that moment, that meant everything to us. After my C-section, Saylor was in such critical condition that I wasn’t even able to see or meet her. She was transferred to the NICU with Austin while I remained in the hospital recovering. For two full days, I could only see my newborn baby through FaceTime. Being separated from both my husband and our daughter, stuck in a hospital and completely helpless, was incredibly difficult. We are so incredibly grateful to share that Saylor James was discharged from the NICU Friday evening! According to her doctors, she made a remarkable recovery. She went from being unresponsive and requiring resuscitation twice at birth to coming home with us just four days later. It truly feels like a miracle, and God is so good. We wanted to share a few photos from our little journey so you could see the family behind all of this. The work you are doing truly matters, and your support gave our family one less thing to worry about during the most frightening days of our lives. We will never forget it. Jessica is our delight coordinator. We have a full time person just to make sure that when you have something big in life happen that you feel love from the Crowd. She’ll generally send a little something like a baby blanket and a onesie for new babies, care package for mom, flowers to someone going through surgery, gift card to the local grocery if we have a member struggling financially, etc So many tough health cases that she has had to help with lately. Thanks to the Crowd these people can worry about their health and not their finances.
